Mr. Phillips, my name is Melissa, and I work in the office portion of the dealership. I have spoken with Shawn, and he told me that he let you know over the phone and then again in person, that any overpayment would be sent to you bank within a couple of weeks. Shawn told me that you came in upset and that he smiled at you but did not laugh at you when he was trying to explain our process for these overpayments. Shawn is a very friendly person, always has a smile and is very customer-service oriented. Any money that is overpaid toward the title work, is either paid back to the customer or their bank (if they financed). We, generally, do this monthly, but sometimes it can take a little longer. You purchased your vehicle on 3/13/2025, and financed, so the $72.00 refund will be going to your back once we process these refunds. I hope that you had a great experience with the purchase of your vehicle and I apologize for any miscommunication about the title work overpayment. Mrs. Nottingham, I attempted to reach you Friday, April 25, 2025 but the dealership said you had already left for the day. In the review I left I said I called your dealership about the difference. During my initial call with Shawn he didn’t know there was a difference so he checked into it and later informed me that the money would be sent to the lender I used. Which is fine by me but it is not preferred. As long as the money is refunded I don’t have an issue. However as written in my review I contacted the lender I financed with about the money and they said they had not received anything and didn’t know anything about it. So when I called your dealership to get clarity I asked to speak with the title clerk at your dealership or whomever was in charge of issuing refunds I was sent to voicemail and no one returned my call. I later went to the dealership and spoke with Shawn in person. I was not upset I was simply wanting to get an answer because he told me it was sent to the lender yet they had no knowledge of it. It’s fine you have your employees back and support their version of events but Shawn did laugh at me and he responded contemptuously. After laughing at me he said you’re really coming up here over $72 and I replied yes I’m poor. I paid $7000 cash down on the truck I purchased from your dealership. So I wasn’t sure why the overpayment would be required to be sent to the lender. Shawn went to a back room and came back out and explained that a paper check was sent by mail to the lender. The last time this same thing happened but at a different dealership in town they sent me a check for the difference within 1 week of the purchase. So I don’t know why it’s taking so long. Shawn said the difference had already been sent to lender he didn’t mention what you have explained with title work generally being done monthly. As for purchasing the truck the process was great Jack and Bo and very friendly and good at what they do. Bo Bratton is exceptional and made everything very hassle free.

Mr. Phillips, I apologize for missing your call and I am sincerely sorry if you were treated in any way other than professionally and with kindness. That is definitely not how we operate or who we are. I did speak with Shawn about this and the title clerk again. Our title clerk said that she thought that she did speak with you, but must have been mistaken. As for the refund - we do title work just about every day but the refunds are processed monthly. We do it this way to make it easier on the office staff and ourselves. We clear schedules monthly. The title work money is put into its own account under your car deal and we are able to process refunds by running a report for that specific account. I completely understand that refunding the money back to the lender is not preferred by you, but that is what is required of us since the vehicle was financed. I assure you that we do not keep any overpayments, they are either refunded to the customer or their lender. If it is sent to your lender, it will be applied to your loan by your bank. I will keep you updated with the check number and the date the check will be mailed to your lender. Also, I am very glad to hear that you had a great experience buying your vehicle and congratulations! Thank you, Melissa Nottingham
