First service for this Crosstrek at Summit Subaru, and first interaction with the service department. I was pleasantly surprised with the service my vehicle received today. The service writer was profess first interaction with the service department. I was pleasantly surprised with the service my vehicle received today. The service writer was professional, courteous and articulated very well. It was my first experience to receive a live-inspection video sent to my phone that was generated by the technician as my vehicle was being serviced, that I watched while I was waiting in the customer lounge. The technician recorded step by step throughout the service, showing break pad measurements in real time, fluid levels, drive line and steering components for integrity and proper function, etc. This was a first for me and I was quite impressed with it. I was also given a complementary vehicle wash voucher for a nearby facility that I use frequently. Hats off to the crew there, as a customer I really appreciate the above and beyond service today. Terrible service. Brought car in twice for service in 2 months for battery/starting issues. Neither time did they offer/mention running diagnostics on my battery drai Brought car in twice for service in 2 months for battery/starting issues. Neither time did they offer/mention running diagnostics on my battery drain. However, the 2nd time they did recommend replacing my spark plugs which were replaced on the 1st visit. When I asked them about it they said they just recommended it based on mileage, which is insane. Recommendations should be made based upon issues present and mileage since last known service. The service record which they have access to. When I called today after picking it up to ask if the battery drain diagnostic was run, they offered to do it for another 300. The diagnostic that should have been run and would have gone towards the 400 I spent on a battery. This place is a money grab, never going back there again. More
