I am very sorry to hear that your experiences were less than desired here at Sunset Ford, that usually isn’t the case, and that certainly isn’t our intention. We appreciate the positive feedback for Ashley, it’s nice to hear that, so I will be sure to pass it on. In regards to the accident on the parking lot, that happened to be our Service Manager backing up that vehicle and he was very distraught over that accident. Luckily the customer is OK. I would like to know more about your visits with us and if there is still a concern present with your vehicle that I may be able to help you with. Please feel free to contact me by email jtheutel@sunsetford.com or direct phone at 314-467-1120. Thank you for taking the time to provide us feedback and I hope to hear from you. Justin Heutel.

It is unfortunate that these negative assumptions are being made towards our company. By the description given in the review, it is evident that there is still a misunderstanding of all the specific repairs that were performed and needed on this 152,000 mile 2008 Ford F250 Diesel. There are also many details left out in the review that makes us look incompetent and dishonest, which is not the case. In regards to the engine, it is to our knowledge that the engine has been repaired with accordance to your Aftermarket Warranty Company preferences and the labor was performed per Ford Warranty repair process. If there are still engine concerns present, then please contact us or any local Ford dealer as the engine now carries a Nation-Wide Warranty. In regards to the front suspension on the truck, maybe we did not explain our findings correctly when the vehicle was here. Our parts and labor repairs are backed by Ford Motor Company’s warranty. Per Ford’s Warranty and Policy Coverage, Ford does not cover damage, neglect, or abuse to a vehicle. Also, per Ford’s Warranty and Policy Coverage, “there must be a defect in factory-supplied materials or workmanship to justify the repair of a vehicle for which warranty reimbursement is requested.” The comment made to us by the customer that “the truck drove fine for about 12 days after the initial repairs,” indicates that our repairs corrected the truck until something caused the vehicle handling to be altered. Regardless of where the truck was taken (on-road or off-road), it was driven in a manner that caused the front Track Bar Ball Joint to push up and bend, exceeding its capacity in which it is designed to handle, and therefore damaged. Ford further mentions in their Warranty and Policy Coverage the following: “NOTE: Customers purchasing Ford vehicles that have been modified, altered, or final stage manufactured by an entity other than Ford must be informed that the modified parts, as well as Ford parts that fail because of the modification, are not covered by either the Ford New Vehicle Limited Warranty or ESP.” Being that this is a modified truck in which the suspension has been lifted with larger tires, also further restricts our ability to warranty a damaged steering/suspension component. Bringing the vehicle in with mud along the side of the truck and inside the wheels, along with grass/weeds hanging from the front axle doesn’t help support our claim to Ford either. We apologize your Aftermarket Warranty Company did not cover all of the repairs and therefore required customer participation out of pocket. Each warranty company is different and therefore coverage is not always the same. At this time, our position remains the same; we cannot warranty a steering component that has been damaged, regardless how it happened.

This must be one of the Heutel boys responding to this since obviously and yet again you did not read the review correctly. ARE YOU GOING TO STRAIGHT UP LIE ABOUT THE REPAIRS YOU DID TO THE FRONT END WITHOUT EVEN REMOVING THE TIRES? IF you reread the review it states we did not even drive the truck for 12 days AFTER the repairs were done and the first day it is driven it nearly causes a 4 car collision, OR CAN YOU NOT READ? I never stated there were issues on the engine, it is the $1527 you stole from us by TELLING US THAT THE LIFT WAS NO ISSUE, AND YOU WERE SURE YOU COULD REPAIR THE FRONT END ISSUES. Regardless of what you say on your FORD POLICY, YOU WERE SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF YOU COULD DO THE REPAIR CORRECTLY AND YOU STATED YES, IT WAS NO PROBLEM. Of course that was a lie because when you realized your incompetent service department could not do the repair NOR DID THEY EVER REMOVE THE WHEELS TO DO THE REPAIR WHICH YOU ADMITTED AND I HAVE IN WRITING then you try to blame the customer. REREAD AGAIN MR. HEUTEL
