Went in to have the special oil chance & tire rotation. Dropped it off after 2:00 on Friday & they said it should be done by 6:00. They called at 5:40 & we could not get there before it closed. Got there by 7:00 am I noticed that the tires were not rotated. I had marked the tires with a blue marker & those tires were still on the front. So I had to wait another hour. Not good!! More
My check engine light came on about 3 months ago. Sunset Ford was unable to get me in for at least 3-4 weeks, so I took it to another repair shop where they told me my coolant was leaking all over my Sunset Ford was unable to get me in for at least 3-4 weeks, so I took it to another repair shop where they told me my coolant was leaking all over my engine due to a manufacture problem, my car was undrivable, and that I would need a new engine. I called sunset ford and talked to several people who told me that my car could be evaluated in 3-4 weeks. I explained that I had no transportation to my job since my car was undriveable and they told me that my only option was to go and pay to rent a car in the meantime. I finally got ahold of a service worker who was willing to listen to my dilemma and helped me to get my car in and get a Sunset Ford rental car. The rental car coordinator was extremely kind and helpful. I was then set up with a new service coordinator (Jordan), because my primary service coordinator no longer worked at Sunset Ford. My car was in the service department for 3 weeks and I received no update during that time. It was not a huge deal at the time because I had a rental car, however it was frustrating as I had called Jordan 3 or 4 times and left messages with no answer. I then got a call on a Friday morning from Jordan telling me my car was finished and I had to come and get my car/return my rental that day. I had to quickly rearrange plans and leave work early to get my car that day. On my way home about 2 miles out of Sunset Ford, all of my engine lights came on and my car died in the middle of highway 55. I immediately called sunset ford and they told me to tow my car back to Sunset Ford through my insurance and come back within the hour to pick up the rental car again. I was ensured that any towing fees I may receive would obviously be covered by Sunset Ford, as the malfunction was clearly an issue with the repair that had just been performed. The workers who helped me get the rental car again were very kind and I drove the rental car the remainder of the weekend. On Monday, I got another call from Jordan saying my car was repaired again and ready to pick up. When I returned to pick up my car again, Jordan failed to tell me any details about my car repair until I asked what had been found. Jordan then proceed to tell me “An ignition coil had just randomly gone out on your way home”. I kindly asked if the issue had been related to the repair, and he told me no and that it was all “completely random” and that “he had no idea what happened because the service department drove my car for miles and miles”. I made it very clear that I would not be upset and that mistakes happen, but Jordan still chose to lie to me about the repair. It is very obvious that my engine had been reconnected inappropriately, or I would have made it more than 2 miles off of the Sunset Ford lot prior to my car shutting down. I feel very offended that I was lied to repeatedly by Jordan about my cars repair. I never showed any anger or disappointment in Sunset Ford due to the faulty repair. I understand that mistakes happen. I however am incredibly disappointed that I was disrespected and blatantly lied to. Honestly is always the best policy even when it feels hard to be honest. People will be much more understanding when people are honest and kind rather than disrespected and lied to. More
