I brought my vehicle in because my "check engine" light was on. I was told it was fixed, but when I got in my Santa Fe the light was still on. After waiting an hour and a half, they thought engine" light was on. I was told it was fixed, but when I got in my Santa Fe the light was still on. After waiting an hour and a half, they thought they figured out the issue. I would have to bring the vehicle back in for a "20 minute repair". Well, that 20 minutes turned into 2 and a half hours. Still not fixed. The two visits cost me $500. To be fair, I did get an oil change so its not like I spent $500 for nothing. More
Every experience I have had at Suntrup Hyundai's service department has been a positive one. Dave Bible and Gary Curtright from service were incredible. They did everything they could to make sure I was taken care of after a break down on a BRAND NEW HYUNDAI... even stayed later than servi incredible. Dave could tell I was over heated, after being stranded for an hour in 106 degree weather, and got me inside and a cold water. They even had my car cleaned for me. I couldn't thank God enough for such amazing people and all around awesome service. I would reccomend this Dealership over all I've ever come across. What great service I received bringing my little accent in for 30,000 mile check up & new tires. David Bible was so nice, accommodating and caring. This was very expensive for me & even gave me a tummy ach in for 30,000 mile check up & new tires. David Bible was so nice, accommodating and caring. This was very expensive for me & even gave me a tummy ache because of the cost. He listened to my concerns, gave thoughtful recommendations, put me in a very nice rental, he made me feel fancy and special and the work was completed before expected. I know that when I go the Suntrup Hyundai that I am going to be well taken care of and they do not take advantage of me...refreshing. Most people take the service aspect of the dealership for granted. You need work, you get it done. I want to compliment one of Suntrup's service advisors, Mr. David Bible. He is not just a face taking your appointment. Dave knows cars inside and out. I trust in his advice as he really cares. What I like about Dave is that he is a no nonsense guy. Thats not to say he isn't friendly, because he is. He can swap stories with the best of us. What I mean is that is he is not one of those over zealous salesman types that tell you you need a "johnson rod" or a cabin filter when you don't. He doesn't talk over your head where you can't understand him. Dave explains what the technician found and what he did. He will tell you what you can hold off on and what you need to do now. No pressure. I have never written a review before, but I am so impressed by Dave that I want the Suntrup's to know what asset they have in him. I will also pass kudos about Dave to the service manager. It's like when you eat out and your server is so good that you want to give them recognition somehow. You want them to be rewarded for their service. That is how I feel here. In closing, we are a four Hyundai family and I am in the dealership quite a bit. Stay far away from this dealership. They don't even know how to tighten a drain plug when changing the oil. When I left the service manager, he didn't even bother to call and apologize. This was the 3rd car we have purschased from Suntrup Hyundai. Never have I had more issues with the Service Department as much as I have since 2010. Suntrup purchased my Mercedes through an auction. I have dealt with Arman in the past and this last time I am extremely dissapointed, he has not returned my calls (probably about 20 of them) and then finally when I talked to someone else they told me that he has gone to a different dealership. The big problem is that now I have to explain to this new gentlemen the issues I am dealing with and as he told me "hmm that's weird i don't know who told you that". One Service department doesn't know how to answer thei phone because I few times I have been on hold for more than 5 minutes to the point where I hang up. When I finally talked to the last gentlemen which was three weeks ago, he wrote down my msg and was going to have Service call me, guess what not a single call back. I am pretty sure if I call again someone else will pick up, won't know what I am talking about, take a msg and nobody will call me back. I am extremely disappointed in the service department where I am completely done with Suntrup. More
Suntrup was by far the closet Hyundai dealership to my house. However, after looking for a new car there I decided to buy from a dealer (St. Charles Hyundai) 30 miles further away. Their sales are gimmick house. However, after looking for a new car there I decided to buy from a dealer (St. Charles Hyundai) 30 miles further away. Their sales are gimmicky and prices are much higher. However, my biggest complaint is with their service. I have had my car towed there for service due to its proximity to my house. They said it was just a dead battery. It was replaced. Then 3 weeks later the same thing. My car won't start and I have to have it towed to Suntrup. They said it was just a bad battery and replaced it. I was told everything else checked out fine. 5 days later same problem. Before I dropped it off I called ahead to make sure Suntrup would pick up the bill for the rental car that I would need for a third time. There policy is they don't give out loaners and even under these circumstances would not give me a loaner or pay for a rental car. I refused to take it there again and jumped started it so I could make it out to St. Charles Hyundai were I was given a loaner with no questions asked. More
