What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

Moe was seriously amazing. I’ve had a lot of cars in my lifetime and this was hands down the most pleasant sales experience I have had. I’m not the easiest customer to deal with but Moe was incredibly pati lifetime and this was hands down the most pleasant sales experience I have had. I’m not the easiest customer to deal with but Moe was incredibly patient with me while still being very cool and kind. He made sure everything was up to par with my new vehicle and even took the time to show me how the touch screen worked before I drove off. I felt like I made a friend.
