What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

Even the people that were not involved with our purchase went out of their way to greet and be friendly to us. Brian Hampe was our salesman and I was so impressed by his knowledge of cars and the overall buying process; especially after being there such a short time. I've know him personally for over 20 years and he was the reason we decided to buy from your store. Jeff,Walter and Mo were all awesome. I also really enjoyed my time with Julie the finance lady. That is always the stressful part of car buying for me but she was like talking to a friend or favorite relative. I'm 64 and this is my favorite car buying experience ever. I will tell everyone I know who is interested in any car purchase to patronize your establishment. More
