What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

They have a phone system to let you know when you vehicle may be due for regular maintenance, the free car washes are a nice bonus. From their sale department, I would recommend that you talk with Brandon Smith. I let him know what vehicle I was looking for and what payment that I could afford. I got a more than reasonable amount for my trade in. He answered all of my questions and found the perfect vehicle from their large inventory, for me. Before I left, he made sure I understood how to work all the features on my car. Can’t say enough what a great experience it has been to work with this dealership.
