What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

Walter Brown was friendly, fun and professional. I was actually suppose to be going to the Suntrup Nissan used car lot, but I was given the wrong address. When I showed up at Suntrup Kia, Walter step I was actually suppose to be going to the Suntrup Nissan used car lot, but I was given the wrong address. When I showed up at Suntrup Kia, Walter stepped up, and instead of sending me down to the right dealer, he went and got the car that I was there for and brought it to me! He was wonderful to work with! Would highly recommend them! More
