What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

Suntrup Kia was an awesome place to do business. Kris was awesome to deal with as well as Tony on the finance portion. Kris and Tony great people to work a car deal with and definitely will go back again, especially if I am going to buy a Kia. While I didn’t get one this time as it didn’t meet my needs. I will certainly say it will in the future and Kris is very Knowledgeable of Kia’s. No pressure car buying, let you take your time and look and decide. Thanks again Kris and Tony for a great car buying experience. More

Seem to be somewhat disorganized. When I went to pick up car it was raining didn't look car over very well and once I did I found lots of stickers still on outside of car. I had a great experience with Kris and Suntrup! I ordered my car so it was exactly what I wanted and it got to the dealership very quickly. Kris was very communicative during the whole process whil I ordered my car so it was exactly what I wanted and it got to the dealership very quickly. Kris was very communicative during the whole process while I was waiting for the car to arrive and once it got delivered. He got everything ready before I came to pick it up so the process of purchasing the car at the dealership was also quick and painless. I bought my car on one of the coldest days of the year and Kris still came out to explain everything about my car to me and answer any questions I had. Tony in finance was also super helpful and spent time answering and explaining all the questions we had. 100/100 would recommend Suntrup, Kris, and Tony if you are in the market to purchase a car!
