Hergenrother worked with me over the phone, sent a driver to pick me up at the airport, and had the car and necessary paperwork ready to go when I arrived at the dealership. A few days later after I returned to Florida, I decided to purchase VW floor mats (at a discounted price) for the 2010 Golf which I gave to my daughter in St Louis as a 20th birthday gift. When the floor mats came in, J.D. personally drove across town and installed them for my daughter. That level of service is rarely, if ever, provided by other dealerships, especially when purchasing an automobile which was aggressively marked down. I would buy another vehicle from J.D. in a heartbeat. More

The main reason for my good experience was the staff that I dealt with - informative but not too pushy. I went back and forth with my salesperson for a few days. He kept in touch with me informing me of any new developments but was not intrusive. I honestly think I received one of the better deals available. Thanks Suntrup! More

Brett was very knowledgable and friendly! I'm obsessed with my Volkswagen Jetta! The service department has always been so helpful and accomodating. This is the first car I've purchased, and I was unaware that appointments had to be made for service issues. So when I showed up for my first service appointment unannounced, they fit me in with no problems, and there wasn't even a long wait! I've never had anything but plesant experiences with the Suntrup staff. I look forward to leasing another new VW with them when theday comes that my current lease runs out! I can't praise this dealership enough! More

I was very impressed by our salesman, Linzie. He was very personable & friendly. He wasn't pushy and worked very patiently with us during the deal. He assured us that his service was not over once he made the sale and that I could call him anytime in the future if I needed him for anything. An example being if I have an issue with the service dept and they were not helping me, I could contact him and he would help me resolve whatever was wrong. I believe he will. More
The salesman overall was unmemorable. He did lie about two points. He and the sales manager pushed hard for me to purchase a demo car with 3,000 miles. However, they were only willing to give me a $500 discount. Needless to say, I thought $500 was worth paying for a car with 0 miles. When I demanded a new car, they hemmed and hawed about how difficult it would be to find one in the exterior and interior colors I wanted. They said that no one had the car I wanted in the region I live. They lied. I ended up getting my car from another dealer in town. The salesman also attempted to explain what the administrative fee paid for by listing items like paying for paperwork with the state. When I finally read the contract, the state required disclosure clearly stated, any administrative fee will not be used to pay for any licenses or other paper work with the state. The sales manager was even more colorful. I over heard him tell a different salesman that "he could have gotten more money" out of a different customer. To be frank - I didn't trust him. After negotiating for 30-45 minutes, the sales manager and salesman kept trying to add $50 here and $75 there. Ultimately, I got fed up and left. When I went to different dealers, I discovered that the price I was going to pay was actually a fair/good deal. But, I didn't trust them, so I purchased my car elsewhere. Finally, I was skeptical of Suntrup from the first time I walked in because the customer seating is 6 - 12 inches lower than the salesman. Clear gamesmanship that made me skeptical of anything I was told. More

When we went back a second time though, we worked with Linzie Foster, quite possibly one of the nicest salesmen we have ever worked with. He was nice, caring, and negotiated with us on everything the RIGHT way. I am confident that if I EVER go back to the dealership, for work on my car or to buy another car, we will get great service from Linzie. I suggest that if you go to Suntrup, don't work with anyone else!! More
