Mr. Gallagher, This review is disheartening to say the least. We know that every customer is unique and deserves an experience tailored to them. We did not perform accordingly- we failed you, and ourselves. I know that you came in and spoke with my General Sales Manager, Michael Cox, but I still wanted to reach out to you. If I can offer you any assistance, or provide anything to you that would in any way curb your opinion or possibly change your mind about Tameron please let me know. We value our customer's opinions, no matter the case. Thank you for reaching out to us and sitting down with our General Sales Manager. We appreciate your time and thoughts. Please contact me anytime, by email or by phone- and of course, my office is always open. Respectfully, Heather Lumley 205.443.7615 hlumley@tameron.com

Ms. Lumley, I am not certain what assistance you can provide to curb my opinion. Nothing can undo the unscrupulous sales tactics that were used on my daughter by your sales staff. Behavior like this is the result of the environment created and compensation model employed by your dealership. Marking up an e-quote thousands of dollars is not an individual salesman’s practice but rather an operational practice of your organization, a coordinated effort involving multiple employees. Would anything happen differently should I request a e-quote today? I doubt it. An “A-“ at the BBB, I wonder if you are just one consumer complaint away from a “B”… Respectfully, Bill Gallagher billv45@yahoo.com P.S. I suggest you stop sending "personal" emails from GSM Michael Cox that reply to Haley. How stupid do you think your cliental is?

Thank you for your time Mr. Gallagher, your counsel is appreciated. We don't think our customers are stupid at all. What your daughter experienced was a fluke, and a tremendous error on our part. I admit we failed you completely, and I understand your frustration and anger. I hate that this has gone past repair, and that you feel there is nothing we can do. Thank you again! Sincerely, Heather Lumley

Ms. Polk, I'm sorry your experience here was so frustrating. Dealer added accessories are of course optional, and we don't condone unprofessional sales tactics like manipulating customers, or deceiving anyone on price, or product. Making a major purchase doesn't require the stress or anxiety brought on the "old school" techniques you mentioned. You are 100% right. People now have the internet, and finding a car and pricing is all but clicks away. We understand and appreciate the modern consumer, and try to bend ourselves every which way to serve them better. My General Sales Manager, Michael Cox, knows about your experience, and has been trying to get in touch with you. We will continue to reach out to you and resolve this issue any way we can. I would appreciate any additional feedback you can give me, or any insights to your experience here with us. Respectfully, Heather Lumley 205.443.7615

Heather, Thank you for your response. I did receive a voicemail from Mr. Cox on Saturday evening. I returned his call this past Monday afternoon and left him a voicemail. I haven't heard back from him again. I would be happy to share the details of our visit with you. I initially stopped by last Monday after getting an internet price on an Odyssey EXL w/RES. I was met in the parking lot by Phillip Smith. I explained I had an internet price from Haley Gilliland just in case I needed to work with her and that I was only there to look at an Odyssey to make sure I liked it. My husband was working and I had a babysitter with my kids so I was in a hurry. It took him about 10 mins to verify with his management that he could work with me since I had initial email contact from Haley and then had me sit down to give a bunch of information I had already filled out online to get the internet price. Without going into too much detail because it's probably not important but our conversation wasn't great. I felt belittled at first. He even implied I should "just buy another Enclave" when I expressed my love for my current one. When I told him the features we were looking for and the budget we wanted to fall into he acted like I was dumb! I knew from researching the Odyssey and what my trade would bring and knowing my credit score that my expectations were not unreasonable. As our conversation continued his interaction with me did get better and finally let me look at a van and test drive it. I expected to be there about 30 mins and was there over an hour. It was the last day of June so he seemed aggravated my husband couldn't come talk to him that night, even asking me if we could postpone our small group dinner that we had that night. It was more pressure than I felt at the Toyota or Buick Dealerships we had visited days before. Anyway, the visit did show me that I really liked the Odyssey more than the Sienna (we had already gone to Hoover Toyota the weekend before) and that the extra space was beneficial so we didn't need to buy another Enclave. So I told my husband that was the vehicle I wanted and we arranged to have a babysitter for this past Saturday so we could buy the van. I did text Phillip on Thursday letting him know my intentions but never heard back from him. When we showed up Saturday, Phillip wasn't there so Stephen helped us. Now in his defense, he was very kind and personable. I felt no pressure from him and he was friendly. He did mention before showing us the same vehicle I had seen on Monday the disclaimer about dealer installed accessories. So our experience wasn't because of him. He was a fine sales person. During our visit we saw two other couples get irritated and demand to have their keys back. Then another father/daughter left before even seeing a vehicle because they only wanted to look and the sales person wouldn't leave them alone. So Stephen comes back with the "offer" from the dealership for our trade and the price for the van. IT WAS RIDICULOUS! First, we had an internet price of $32, 357. When he brought up the "doesn't include dealer installed accessories" we assumed Tameron would add maybe $1000 to the price to make it reflect the TrueCar value for our area. We did our research and knew the standard features offered on the EXL-RES model. That's all we wanted. We didn't want any other accessories. So we were shocked to see over $4500 added to our "great" price. When I asked what that was for the only explanation was "a pin stripe and roof rack." I asked if we could remove them to lower the price. Of course not. This brought the sales price right at sticker. I found this tactic "shady." If you email someone a price for a vehicle, give them that price. Don't add a bunch of junk to it to try to justify raising the price. Also, if you send someone a price for a vehicle, have it on the lot. I came looking for an Odyssey EXL-RES for $32,357...it was one that I emailed specifically about listed in your inventory. However, because Tameron immediately add accessories "THAT" vehicle was never available. That's deceitful. I know car dealerships in the past have commonly used this tactic but I expect more from a dealership located in Hoover Alabama in 2014! Hoover Toyota doesn't do business this way. Serra Toyota, Serra Honda and Stokes Buick DO NOT do business that way. I know first hand because I visited all of these dealerships. Tameron has the advantage because of location. If you would treat people with respect and give fair prices you would run the market in this area. However, after leaving your dealership I've mentioned our experience to numerous people. The response from every one of them has been the same. (And we go to a huge church. Out of 20 different people not 1 positive comment!) "Oh I could've warned you not to go there." This is your reputation in our community. When I got online to leave a review and saw the reviews from people on several different sites I was shocked I hadn't heard it before. As I type this I wish I was speaking to you in person. I want you to know I'm not angry or upset. I say these things respectfully. The other reason we promptly walked out was because we were offered $4900 for our trade. It is a 2008 Buick Enclave (CXL) with 135000 miles. We knew we were upside down in it. But that was crazy. Before coming to Tameron we had been offered $11,000 and $12,000 by other dealerships for vehicles in a similar price range. After leaving we were offered $12,000 and $12,500 by two additional dealerships. WHY ON EARTH WAS YOUR OFFER THAT LOW? It was beyond discussion. Stephen mentioned that they said the navigation was showing "inop." I still have no idea what he was talking about and as soon as we got in the car the navigation popped right up. I almost called out to Stephen to show him but my husband was so irritated that we had wasted about 3 hours already (our kids with a babysitter!) that he said let's just go! So with all of that being
