You have every right to be angry. I would be upset over 100 dollars, let alone eight cents! Unfortunately we can't make everyone happy with price, and 8 cents might feel like a slap in the face- but your quote was extremely aggressive and we wanted the opportunity to do business with you and try and beat the price. Of course we still want the chance to work things out with you. My GSM (General Sales Manager) tried calling you, but received no answer. We will try and reach out to you again. Thank you for taking the time to review us. I know you didn't want to hear from me- but I had to at least try and change your mind about me, if not Tameron. I bring all of our customer's concerns to our managers, I can assure you we talked about your experience in our morning meeting. I'm sorry your experience was disappointing. Heather, Here's the thing. You guys knew my quote was aggressive prior to me driving 100+ miles. My quote was communicated via email and over the phone, and I was told that you'd beat it. It was also known that I was driving down from Huntsville. Sure, you beat it by 8 cents. So technically you did what you said you would. But c'mon now--you know that's a pretty lowdown thing to do. Essentially I was told you'd beat that price to simply get me in the door, when there was really no true intention of working with me on a price. And I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THAT. I don't expect dealers to give away the farm for one random customer. But communicate that to someone prior to them wasting time and gas money to save 8 cents. Don't lure me in there under the guise that you're going to be competitive. 8 cents isn't competitive. That's my only issue. The staff there were all nice and friendly, except for the pompous sales manager. Simeon was a nice guy to speak with and he was respectful the entire time, despite me getting a little testy. But just be upfront. I've been in contact with many dealers over the weeks, and all of them that couldn't offer a competitive price when compared to the aggressive quote I have flat out told me that. They saved me the time and hassle of taking time out of my schedule instead of leading me on. I appreciate the phone call from the GSM, however I'm already working with another dealer so there isn't much to talk about now. Thanks.

My GSM will absolutely call you. We know we can't sell you a car, but as a business that's been around for over 40 years and has genuine good people that work here- we hate for anyone to leave and feel the way you do. I sincerely apologize, and agree with you 100%. I don't know verbatim what was said, or agreed upon, but you were definitely under the impression that you would be saving more than 8 cents. The customer is always right, and we know that. So please be expecting a call from our GSM- and know that you have impacted how other customers are brought in, and everyone will think twice before making anyone drive 120 miles. One more thing, if you could, do you remember who you talked to on the phone? Before you came into our dealership? Barry Butts, and anyone else? I appreciate your time and critique.
