I gave these ratings because of the excellent service that Johnny Watwood and Billy Sun gave to me. Totally professional and they made purchasing a new car a easy process. First, this is a dealership that does not recognize that customers wish to do business in the manner of their choosing. Because of my work schedule, mine is primarily through email. Dealership is completely customers wish to do business in the manner of their choosing. Because of my work schedule, mine is primarily through email. Dealership is completely not responsive through this channel. You will get automated email responses and when you attempt to contact sales people directly, your inquiries are summarily ignored. Over the course of several days I attempted to get pricing from this dealership with no success. On my last attempt, I contacted a sales person directly and the next response I received came from the Sales Manager. The SM apologized and offered to assist me in anyway possible. I was thankful for his response and wrote him to let him know what I was looking for. That was 2 days ago. Clearly Tameron does not need your business and, if this is what you get on the sales end, I can only imagine what the service must look like. I'm not certain why I came back to Tameron. I've purchased 1 new and 1 used car from them in the past. The used car purchase was smooth, the new car purchase was your typical car purchase environment where the sales person spends most of his time going to his sales manager in an attempt to make you feel as if you're "winning". In that instance I left after being told they couldn't get to where I needed them on price. A few weeks later, at the end of the quarter approached, I got a call and suddenly they were able to. My last "in person" experience was when my wife and I visited about 2 months ago to simply TEST drive a vehicle. We were immediately cornered and quizzed on what color vehicle needed to be along with how we wanted it to be equipped. My response was if either of those affected how the car drove I needed to know. This pressure continued for about 15 minutes until such time as we just said thanks and left. Buyers should also be aware that this dealership customarily places over $2000 in add-ons to every car's sticker. Charging $299 for splashguards that cost $104 from Honda as an option. Naturally, Tameron will tell you they have to charge the labor to turn 2 screws into each of the car's 4 wheel wells. This works out to about $390 an hour considering it takes about 30 minutes for someone skilled in the use of a screwdriver. My advice? Shop elsewhere...anywhere. More
I chose Tameron Honda and this sales manager and representative because I have purchased 3 cars from them in the past and enjoy working with them. Kay is very knowledgeable about the product and Dwa representative because I have purchased 3 cars from them in the past and enjoy working with them. Kay is very knowledgeable about the product and Dwayne works hard to present a deal that will work for me while keeping the experience fun. For me there is no other choice for a sales team:-) More
We would like to share with each of you, our satisfaction with our latest purchase of a 2014 Honda Odyssey EXL. We were unsure if we wanted to purchase another mini van or an SUV, as our children are growin with our latest purchase of a 2014 Honda Odyssey EXL. We were unsure if we wanted to purchase another mini van or an SUV, as our children are growing older, so we called Rudy Arvizu. He has always been wonderful to help us with our 2008 Honda Odyssey Touring, in the service department. He told us to ask for Rob Nelson when we came in to look. Rob helped us about 17 years ago with our purchase of a Honda Accord. Simeon Williams greeted us as we parked and ultimately became our salesman after Rob came and talked with us about what we were looking for. Simeon was extremely thorough and hardworking. We asked many questions, and he was able to answer them all with confidence and honesty. He was diligent in showing us all the new features, so we could make an informed decision. After seeing all the wonderful new options on the 2014 Honda Odysseys and deciding the gas mileage would work better for our busy family in an Odyssey, we chose the EXL. Simeon didn’t stop with the sale. Our EXL was not at Tameron, it was still at Lincoln and was delayed by a day or two. He loaned us an EXL to drive until ours was ready, he made sure all of our chosen options were added when the van arrived, then spent even more time with us to make sure we understood every detail. He went above and beyond, and I feel confident I can call him if I have any additional questions. This was our 5th Honda purchase and 3rd Honda purchase from Tameron. Right before I traded our 2008 Odyssey, we were headed out of town for a school field trip and I needed help with the tire pressure on one of my tires. Rudy made sure we felt confident everything was good for the trip, and he is always so gracious and kind when we come in for service. He is one of the main reasons we returned to Tameron for our new van. Then, Simeon sealed the deal! We feel like we are welcomed as customers and our business is appreciated. Customer Service is Excellent at Tameron and we will continue to spread the word about our continued wonderful experiences. My experience in the work force is Sales Management and my family owned two businesses in North Alabama. I understand what it takes to win a customer’s trust and business, and I always look for that in a sales person. My grandfather used to say, “A man’s word is his bond”, you don’t see that kind of trust much anymore, but we felt it this week. Please commend your sales people for their excellent customer service. It sets you apart from the “Others”. More
I went with my daughter to buy a car from Kay. One of your previous employees had previously talked my son-in-law & daughter into turning their civic in to him ( after only a year into the lease! ) and l your previous employees had previously talked my son-in-law & daughter into turning their civic in to him ( after only a year into the lease! ) and leasing a new civic with all the bells and whistles. They did not understand that when their lease ended, they would be upside down and unable to get a new lease without their payments being sky high! We were very angry that someone from your dealership would pull that on our children. We have bought 7or 8 cars from Kay and she alway explains all the options and possible future problems if we are contemplating a particular choice. That kind of person is what keeps us coming back to Tameron and we will use Kay until she retires!! More
My husband Jonathan and I have used Tameron Honda, Kay Glascow and Dwayne for multiple leases. My parents have also used them for years and every time we have been extremely happy with our experience. W Glascow and Dwayne for multiple leases. My parents have also used them for years and every time we have been extremely happy with our experience. We have only had one bad experience and that was with another employee who asked us to trade in our Civic only a year into our lease for a brand new Civic with the promise of no "extra" cost or time. We were unaware that at the end of our 3 year lease we would have negative equity and be unable to negotiate as good of a deal as we usually get. I was very disappointed with the dealership as a whole for allowing these deals to be made. Although I feel that we were mislead by this previous employee, Kay and Dwayne were able to work with us to give us a great deal on our current lease and we are very appreciative. More
I rated Tameron Honda in this manner because of the experience my spouse and I received during our recent purchase. I consider myself to be somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to buying a new vehicle experience my spouse and I received during our recent purchase. I consider myself to be somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to buying a new vehicle because of the extensive research I perform prior to stepping foot onto any dealership lot, and buying from Tameron Honda, my approach was no different. I was able to negotiate my new vehicle to $6000+ below MRSP because I had all the numbers I needed. Also, once I established an out-the-door price for the new vehicle, I negotiated my trade-in and Tameron Honda wanted to give me $1000 less than what I owed on it; fortunately, I had already got a purchase price (good for seven days) from CarMax for $2000 more than I owed. I presented the certificate to the salesman when I was sure he wasn't going to offer any more. I eventually sold my car to CarMax, put almost $2000 in my pocket, had the salesman from the dealersip pick me up from CarMax, and purchased my new vehicle. My experience was one of the best I have had and I have purchased several new cars and have negotiated deals for my sons. I also take into consideration other factors while at the dealership like professionalism, courtesy, HONESTY, etc.; and while I was comfortable with the deal I made I did have an issue with the salesman sitting at a table near where we were sitting. He was trying to convince a couple (who obviously did no research because the husband was focused on monthly payments instead of bottom line price) to purchase a truck. I wanted so badly to go over and say something and my wife saw it on my face; however, I just shook my head in discuss, not because the salesman was taking advantage of ignorant consumers but because the consumer had no idea what they were getting into. Is this the dealership's fault? I don't think so. Consumers have the responsibility of educating themselves before making such a commitment. Education is the difference between 48 months of payments versus 70 or 82 months which I'm sure I heard mentioned. Bottom line [for me]: Would I buy from Tameron Honda again? I most definitely would because they treated me with respect. The honesty and integrity I created myself when by knowing what I was willing to pay, what I was not willing to pay, when to stay or pack up and walk away (with my money still in my pocket). Ron Nelson told me Tameron Honda would not be undersold and he meant it. I had approx 10 dealerships from Alabama to Georgia competing against each other and no one beat Tameron's out-the-door price. Consumers, educate yourselves! You pay for what you don't know and with the availability of the internet you have no excuse but car salesmen/dealerships will gladly take what you unknowingly leave on the table. More

I went to Tameron Honda for trading in my leased sedan and leasing a new Honda Odyssey EX-L. My interaction happened on 5/24/2013 around 5pm. We were originally supposed to see sales rep Mr. Jared Myers, and leasing a new Honda Odyssey EX-L. My interaction happened on 5/24/2013 around 5pm. We were originally supposed to see sales rep Mr. Jared Myers, but as he was not in that day, we were dealt with by another sales rep whose name unfortunately we do not remember. Firstly, their appraisal of my car was way below par for the condition it is in. When I requested the sales rep to see KBB, he gave me a quote based on "fair" condition, while my car is in fact in "very good" condition. He said a very small dent in the car door had brought down its value and that they were indeed offering a better price than what KBB quoted. He then lied blatantly, saying that in KBB, after "excellent", the next grade is "fair"! Secondly, as I was interested in bargaining for a better-than-quoted price on leasing, the sales rep brought in the manager, Mr. Rob Nelson. Mr. Nelson used tactics of intimidation. He asked if we were truly interested in the Odyssey EX-L model or had mistaken it to something else. He went on abusively saying we didn't understand math! He continued in a dismissive tone that he didn't understand why we were there, 'hoping' for things to work out (maybe he truly doesn't understand that people go to dealerships for business, not for taking a math class from him; or maybe he had had enough with the world and badly wanted a break during the long weekend)! I don't know if these dealers realize that with the help of internet, people nowadays are far more educated in the tactics they use with customers. I don't know if Mr. Nelson realized that there are indeed other dealerships where I can lease the car from, for a much better rate than he quoted, without being pressured, intimidated or abused. HE lost a genuine customer. My wife and I just walked out (although I had half a mind to teach him some math and business sense). Bottom line: AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP. THERE ARE OTHER DEALERSHIPS SELLING HONDA VEHICLES IN A MUCH MORE PROFESSIONAL MANNER. More
