False advertising is their Autotrader marketing tactic. When asked about this they point to the fine print in their advertisement. The staff including the GM admit it is a marketing ploy they use to compete with bigger dealers in Houston. I'm disappointed in this dealership, specifically the pre-owned department. Not only have I heard excellent things about them, but it is not far from my home. I've been looking at trucks for a while now and finally found one (2021 Ram Classic) for 22,500. I was up front that I wanted to pay cash. He comes out and gives me a piece of paper with a figure over 32,000. I understand taxes and miscellaneous fees, but almost a 7,000 hidden " apex " cost couldn't even be explained. I counter and say no. The guy above him comes out with a figure over 28,000 and asks me to finance. He explained that they have fees that need to be covered and there are better options than me paying cash. I found it insulting. Don't waste your time going here. They are falsely advertising and certainly don't care what the customer needs or wants; it's all about their bottom dollar. Super disappointed. More
We purchased a 2023 Grand Cherokee from Wischnewsky several weeks ago. Our salesman Jake Muck greeted us at the dealership door and made us feel welcome. Jake stayed with us after regular business hours so we could finish the transaction and take delivery of our new Grand Cherokee. Jake has continued to communicate with us checking to see if we have any questions or issues with our Jeep Grand Cherokee. Jake was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. My wife and I were traveling through Huntsville with car trouble. We stopped at Wischnewsky for repairs. From Monday morning until Thursday morning, they kept our Jeep, which means we had to spent three n trouble. We stopped at Wischnewsky for repairs. From Monday morning until Thursday morning, they kept our Jeep, which means we had to spent three nights in a hotel waiting on the service. After picking up the Jeep that 4th morning, we drove toward College Station, Texas, which is about 50 miles. The same problems started again. We had to stop at a Jeep dealership service department there. They were able to fix the problem with a few hours which costs literally a tenth of the costs Wischnewsky charged us. We have been driving it over a week now with no further problems. More
My wife and I purchased a grand Cherokee three weeks ago and until we spoke with the finance department, and Larry Cooper specifically, everything was fine. Prior to going into finance, I told our salesman that I did not want any warranties and please let finance know. When we were closing the deal with Larry Cooper, he asked me to sign for both tire and wheel protection warranty as well as ding warranty. He added that the salesman told him I did not want any warranties and these would be FREE. I took him at his word. He also told me the best interest rate from first financial was 7.5 percent. It was Saturday and my bank was closed so again. I took his word for it. On Sunday while going over the paperwork I saw we were charged $700 for the "FREE" warranties. On Monday I called first financial and they advised their best rate, which I qualify for, was 5.25 percent. I complained to the dealership and in the end, they removed the warranties and gave me 5.25 percent. And the bank told me it is common practice for the dealership to raise the rates to make additional money. After things were corrected with the dealership we saved over $3900! BEWARE! I can assure you the owner knows these practices are occurring. Larry Cooper lied to us and to say his actions were unethical is an understatement. Do not shop at this dealership! More
So. Jan 6th we trade my wife's car in for her another one right. Well we had gotten a used jeep grand cherokee and I did purchase the extended warranty a Jan 6th we trade my wife's car in for her another one right. Well we had gotten a used jeep grand cherokee and I did purchase the extended warranty and all. First week or having it had to take it back to local dealership there was milky coolant in the reservoir which normally means head gaskets issue right. They confirmed oh yes we replaced the head gaskets before we sold the vehicle but we did not flush the coolant system well it even states everywhere to flush after head gaskets replacement it can cause acid build up in coolant and engine system anyways. They replaced reservoir and hoses. Sent back a week later cause they did not flush. Move to two weeks ago my wife is driving and the car systems temp over heat engine light and all comes on. Pop the hood the harmonic balancer pulley is side ways laying up against the engine camshaft bolt is probably 2 inches out the engine and then there's milky oil and no coolant left in the system anyways. I end up going through an ordeal with said dealership they said yea its covered under warranty well then I bring up the fact they didn't flush the system and do they know the texas lemon law. Get to this past week sales manager says look we don't want bad reputation out there for stuff like this can yall come up here we will get ur wife into a better vehicle we will eat this vehicle ill sell it at auction right. Yesterday go to dealership with my wife we find her a brand new jeep grand cherokee she wants it's listed on internet price at 41000 which is what they said we will do it for you at internet ok cool. So after everything being a family member is who financed it cause it was only 4.8 percent interest. I get to said family members house this morning to grab the finance papers they look at me and say wth did u buy a badass jeep with everything I asked no why. Because before the financing apr the vehicle is already 60 grand which I was like wait a minute so they sold it to us at 44 grand then they made us eat the other jeep cause it showed negative 8 grand or so on the vehicle then a grand for trade in then apparently charged us 5 grand for extended warranty we did not ask for because it's got factory warrant so we figured out where the extra 16 grand came from and now we're like wow wth they screwed us More
