Just looking I stopped by the Team Toyota Princeton on my way home from looking at 2 used Tundras in Southern NJ. I really was determined to buy a truck from I stopped by the Team Toyota Princeton on my way home from looking at 2 used Tundras in Southern NJ. I really was determined to buy a truck from a private owner but after searching hundreds of trucks online at Craigslist and CarGurus for nearly 2 weeks, a Tundra at this dealership made my top 5 list! Just about had my mind made up on one I looked at, I thought I just would look at this one at the dealer since its on my way home. It was the nicest one on my list with the lowest miles but it was also the highest priced truck on my list. I was pleasantly surprised to see its sticker price was lower as part of a Memorial Day special so the possibility of buying it instantly was on my mind! Still trying to stick to my decision of not spending too much, I talked with salesman Barry Kramer who suggested I take the truck for a test drive. "These Tundras sell themselves" he said. I had the truck for an hour and a half and looked it over thoroughly. I found that it had 2 minor cosmetic issues and I was concerned the battery might be the original one from when the truck was new. Barry assured me that they would take care of all three things. I went over the dealer service report and they had completely serviced the truck replacing the brakes and surfacing the rotors along with all the maintenance items in a thorough routine service. The truck also was a Carfax Certified vehicle so that gave me more confidence the truck was sound over the previous ones I considered buying. So as I said, I'm really not a dealer kind of guy but Barry was no pressure and helped me sort through all the positive reasons to buy through a dealership. I drive on long trips often and wanted the confidence that I could depend on my new-used truck. I bought the Tundra and in a brief time; the financing was complete, the paperwork for registration was complete and he called my insurance company. (On a previous new vehicle purchase, the dealer failed to call the insurance co. as promised and I drove around without insurance for weeks!). The best part was leaving that day with the truck! (My last 2 dealer purchases elsewhere took several days to complete the sale!). Totally happy with a beautiful Tundra and a good deal! More
