LENGHTY BUT WORTH THE READ CAR BUYERS!!! MY DEALINGS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN THE WORST SALES EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS NIGHTMARE DEALERSHIP!!!! Let me first repond to the LIE that was posted in response to my original complaint. I was NEVER offered to purchase the car I test drove, for purchase price plus TTL , that is laughable , how could the manager start the sales negotiations out at $6K OVER the adverstised sales price and realistically save face in front of a customer and be able to drop back to the original sales price? I left the dealership after the ONE bait and switch offer I was given and never had a phone call or text message with this fabled offer. SHOW ME THE PROOF Customer Relations Patsy!!! NOW HERE'S THE REST OF THE TEXAS TOYOTA NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE----After my bait and switch encounter at the dealership, I received a stock email from the General Manager, asking me to report my dealership experience. I responded with the shady $6K "shop cost" price increase and how disappointed I was.. The GM forwarded my email to the Used Car Manager, who I later learn was the" pencil" that came to the desk during my visit to the dealership and dropped the $6K bomb on my attempt at purchasing the car! His response to my email, was preowned car prices are nonnegotiable as they are already wholesale priced. Now I was infuriated!!! I got the shady dealership experience and now after being asked about my expereince my concerns are not even addressed! Ugh!!! I emailed the GM again and said after all that has occured I would be filing a BBB complaint.. The GM put the Customer Relations Patsy on the case! She called and I told her my expereince. She had the customer relations concern and stated that I was wronged on all encounters with the dealership and she would love to use my experience as a teachable moment at the next sales meeting and was there anything else she could do to resolve my negative experience.. I told her yes, she could have the dealership find a comparable car in their inventory and honor the advertised price I saw online (the original car I test drove supposedly had sold). She noted my specs and said she would get back with me as soon as they had a comparable car, BUT it might take some time because to meet the advertised price the car would have to not have any add on "shop costs". I said, there are multiple cars on Texas Toyota's website same model, same year, close in mileage all priced the same purchase price so are you telling me they will all have a different FINAL purchase price? She said yes, depending on the "shop costs". After this conversation I did some online research on this dealership and found many negative reviews with adjusted pricing due to these bogus back end add ons. Not to mention lots of terrible service related reviews. I found Texas Toyota rated in the top 100 Toyota dealerships at 75 and 20 dealerships listed below them had no reviews at all. With this further record of bad business practices, I decided I needed to report my experience, I filed a complaint with the BBB, the AG office, Texas DMV and this website. A couple days after my reporting I got a call from Cusomter Relations Patsy, saying they have a comparable car that they will sales me for purchase price plus ttl.. I looked the car over in the online ad and it looked good except that the Carfax had a blurred portion at the end of the report (got screen shots). I told Customer Relations Patsy that if the car worked out and I did purchase I would update my reported complaints stating that the dealership did honor their online sales price. I hired a prebuy inspector to go inspect the car. HERE IS THE CONCLUSION TO THIS DEALERSHIP NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE----The comparable car they were trying to sell me wouldnt start when my inspector attempted the inspection. The car had been wrecked in the front and rear and repaired badly. the interior smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, had burns and stains. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A 2023 CAMRY WITH 21000 MILES? WELL IT WAS THE COMPARABLE CAR THEY DRUG UP TO SELL ME!!!! No need for the Customer Relations Patsy to give the stock lalalalal response to this entry. I already had a dose of your problem solving.
