We purchased a new 2013 GTI from The Autobarn Volkswagen of Countryside on December 26, 2012. We had been considering a purchase from a dealer that was closer to home. There were a couple of reasons why we chose Countryside for this purchase. The initial reason we came into the Autobarn Counrtyside VW was because the price of the car was slightly better than the VW dealer closer to home. But when it came down the final decision of where to buy the car Countryside was the clear choice because of the warm and friendly people that we met during our visits. Now it could have been the Holiday that had everyone in such a good mood but I am pretty sure it is more than that. Before the appointment with our Sales Consultant we walked through the other areas of the dealership and met several people who all had the courtesy to acknowledge our presence and ask if the could assist in any way. We met Steve Lagasse who took the time to speak to us about his service department. The pride he has in his position in this dealership was self evident as he spoke about the service department. We then met with John Sassano, our Sales Consultant. It was my second visit with John and he listened to what we wanted and worked to make it happen. John went out of his way at every step to help us with the process and our purchase. I would recommend this dealership to my friends. More

I really enjoyed working with Barbara Gawlak in obtaining a new Jetta Sportswagen TDI. Barb was quite knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the car, and allowed me to take the car home overnight to really a new Jetta Sportswagen TDI. It certainly didn't hurt that I absolutely love the car, and have heard very good things about the VW TDIs from everyone I know who has one. The Autobarn VW of Countryside deserves major xxxxxxfor developing some really solid salesmen & women. They offered me a very fair deal on both the new car and on my trade-in. I did extensive research ahead of time on what to expect pricewise on both the new car and the trde-in, and the offer from the Autobarn hit my projected figures almost on the dot. That says a lot about the credibility of the folks who work there. I'd also like to send out a shout out to Lee, the finance manager at the dealership. He didn't give me the hard sell on an extended warranty, which I really appreciated. I normally don't give lengthy references for something as basic as a automobile purchase, but this dealership, Barb Gawlak in particular, deserves all the praise they get. More
