We are from Michigan, and were looking for a specific vehicle. We noticed that there was a few of them that were in the Chicago area, so we made a overnight trip to look at a few. We were not happy with the ones we looked at or a certain sales manager we had to deal with (he must of thought we were stupid) so we decided to head back home. There was one that we really liked at the Autobarn Volvo of oak park dealership but it was a little more than we wanted to pay, and when my wife talked to them it seemed like they wouldn't budge on the price. We decided to just go look at it to see how it compares with the others we looked at. We almost didn't stop because traffic was so bad, and we were running late to get back home without a new car. When we got to the dealership we couldn't find the car so we drive around the building to see if it was in the back. We got around back and realized we couldn't get through and had to turn around to get back out. It was so tight back there that I had to get out of the car and direct my wife to help her get turned around. We thought we would just leave and go home. Instead, we got out and went inside and asked about the car. The sales man we talked to on the phone was there and let us take the car for a ride. We drive it around a little but decided to not go far and brought it back because we couldn't afford the price. We got back and talked to the sales man. We told him we liked it but we couldn't afford it. He then asked us what we could afford, so we told him. I said please don't come back with a higher number, just tell us you can't do it and we will go. He told us "your time is valuable, my time is valuable I will not waste any of it" he went back and talked to his manager, explained out situation, and came back out to us. He then said " we'll do it". I was shocked, I couldn't believe it. He didn't come out with a higher price, he didn't argue with us, he didn't pull any of the salesman tricks they use, nothing! We said we'll take it! To think we were just gonna skip it at first and just go home. Thank you Firas Alqahef for a pleasant experience while looking for a new to me car. You were awesome. You treated us with respect and worked with us to get a great deal on a new to me car. Keep up the good work. More
