OVER 2 HOURS FOR 30 MINUTE TASK? I made an appointment for recall work that the service tech (ST) told me would take 30 minutes. When I pulled into the service bay, the ONLY words sa I made an appointment for recall work that the service tech (ST) told me would take 30 minutes. When I pulled into the service bay, the ONLY words said to me were "Are you here for an oil change?" That was all! I stood outside of my vehicle for a few minutes since the folks are their desks seemed to be busy. When a ST seemed to be available, I went into her office. Immediately, I was told "I'm still working on a write-up for a customer. Go stand by your vehicle and someone will be with you shortly.” I told her that nobody told me where to wait. She said the porter should have told me. I told her he didn’t say anything because he was too busy talking to his fellow employees about the Bears’ game. So I waited by my vehicle for about 15 minutes. Finally, the same ST came out and we went into her office. She asked why I was here and I told her what needed to be done. After a lengthy discussion about the issue and what work would be done, she walked me to the waiting area. She told me she would come out and give me an update in a while. I told her that I might leave. She said she would come out and look for me and that she would call if I was not still waiting. I left the dealership. After spending nearly 2 ½ hours at a local restaurant, I decided to return to Thomas. I waited an additional 30 minutes at Thomas. Then my phone rang. It was the ST calling. She proceeded to explain the work that was performed. I told her I would be in her office in a few seconds. When I walked in, she said that she didn’t know I was in the waiting room. I told her that I was there because that is where I was told to wait. Overall, the overall time it took to perform the work was excessive since it only required that a software update be performed. There was no part replaced and the vehicle wasn’t serviced in any other manner. In addition, the communication from the moment I drove into the dealership from the moment I left was poor. More

Windshield replacement Windshield damaged due to debris on interstate. Chose to have a factory windshield instead of aftermarket. Obtained the windshield through Thomas an Windshield damaged due to debris on interstate. Chose to have a factory windshield instead of aftermarket.
