Sales has A BIG Problem Let me first say my husband and i have bought 2 cars at Thorton Chevy in Manchester previously and the process was great no problems and they were the Let me first say my husband and i have bought 2 cars at Thorton Chevy in Manchester previously and the process was great no problems and they were the kindest sales people we have delt with. It was a husband and wife manager and sales. WELL let me just say we decided to purchas another car and because we were treated FAIRLY on the first 2. We found out that the preveous sales manager and wife moved to Fla. We continued to look at vehicles specifically GM pre certified 2012 Equinox. The sales person we had was friendly at first. We had a trade to add into the sale. It took almost 3 hours to workout a deal, that was not what was on the deal sheet we had to sign and we were charged for exrra insurance wich we were told was included with the GM certified vehicle. We found a cigarette burn on headliner and they wrote a invoice to have that fixed before delivery. When we finally sighned on the dotted line , we were told we could pick ip car in a couple of days as the person who fixes all the on lot cars wouldnt be there till Wednessday. When i picked up our vehicle the small hole in the headliner the size if a cigarette was now all scratched up and deformed the size of a dollar bill folded in half. It was REALLY noticable. The burn was barely noticeable before they so Called fixed it. Needless to say i was angry about it but at least it was inside and seen by driver. When we got home we parked our 2012 CERTIFIED Equinox in our cement driveway. To my horror the next day there was oil all over the drive way in a huge puddle. We took pictures and headed rigjt back to Thorton. We spoke to our sales rep and he said he couldn't help us out and i was then sent to the so called sales manager who was a young man with a very cocky attitude and we explained that this is certified and warranty and was supposed to be a worry free purchase. We just paid money and in Pa you have 3 days to cancel sale. The oil was just pouring out of the engine . They only place we drove vehicle was home from dealer and back , about 20 miles total. We were told tuff luck we have your money and there is nothing you can do to get a refund or even another vehicle. I would have spent more to get a propper vehicle WITHOUT probblems. So we had to take car to there service center and they said it was fixed. That lasted less than 2 weeks. We reported Thorton to Chevrolet and took our vehicle ti sutliff as per GM they took care of the problem and dovumented the headliner mess and offered us money off of another car but it was only 3/4 of what we paid. GM gave us free service for as long as we own car and would take care if us at rrade in Time. The whole experience was horrible and i hope the cocky manager from Thorton gets his karma 10 fold. GM made it right and we wil NEVER go back to Thorton in Manchester pa. More
Not helpful at all I bought a used Tahoe from them and paid $20,000 cash for it. Myhisbamd bought another $20,000 truck 2 months ago. Less than a month after purchasing my Tahoe the dashboard shatters. After doing research online and finding out that it was a known problem by GM and they refused to do a recall due to the fact it is only a cosmetic issue I really hoped that they would be descent in helping me find a way to fix it- instead i was simply told they couldn't help and the repairs would be at least $800 or more. Thanks Thornton for crappy customer service. I expect mechanical problems in a used car but not $1000 worth of cosmetic damage to no fault of my own! I'd never buy from them again. More

Repaired car without customer approval for repairs I spoke with Brian on several occasions for car repairs for ongoing issues on my Chevrolet Malibu 2011. I took the car to be serviced with Brian on $2 I spoke with Brian on several occasions for car repairs for ongoing issues on my Chevrolet Malibu 2011. I took the car to be serviced with Brian on $2,000 of repair work. Upon getting the cost that I could not afford at that time I called back and was told the car was repaired without my permission and/or approval for said repairs. I contact the service manager and he in turn told me there's nothing that he can do and I have decided to seek legal actions against Brian the service consultant and the service manager. Unbelievable regarding this string of events in repairing my car without my permission. I was told by Brian after my complaint to come pick up my car and he will take the new parts out and put the old Parts back in it. After my conversation with the service manager I was told to pick up my car. I will have to pay all fees per my repairs. I was told by the service manager that Brian has been with Thornton Chevrolet 20 years and he does not believe me and my account of said events. Buyer beware service beware at Thornton Chevrolet More

Chevy Malibu I had an exceptional purchase experience. Michelle Hamilton was extremely helpful and I was treated fairly and honestly. In fact, about 4 months aft I had an exceptional purchase experience. Michelle Hamilton was extremely helpful and I was treated fairly and honestly. In fact, about 4 months after I purchased my new car, they sent me a check for $500. They had applied for a rebate on my behalf, but they weren't certain that I would qualify. When they got the money, they sent it to me right away. That was a really nice surprise! More
We came in to look at vehicles. Kolt was very knowedgeable about the vehicles and answered all our questions. He went with us on test drives answering our questions.
