Run, don't walk, away from this dealership. I wish I had read the other comments on this site before walking in to this dealership. Simply put, they are unethical and fraudalent. Here's my story (short ve read the other comments on this site before walking in to this dealership. Simply put, they are unethical and fraudalent. Here's my story (short version). After giving my OK to place a $1,000 REFUNDABLE charge on my credit card to hold a car for one day, I decided not to purchase the car. Though I was told that the charge had been reomoved, what was done was that, without any authorization, my credit card was charged $2,999. I was advised that I had Ok'd this charge (a lie!) and that it represented a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit!! I'm now having to go through all the various legal channels to get this illegal charge reversed. It's clear from other posting to this site that my experience is not unique. These people will apparantly go to any lengths to get your money. If you read this and still choose to do business with this people, my advise is to be sure to bring your attorney with you to every meeting. More
It's rare to find an auto salesman completely devoid of self-interest - today I found one. But on top of that, Mike was just unbelievably knowledgable. 17 years as a tech, a couple years in sales. In th self-interest - today I found one. But on top of that, Mike was just unbelievably knowledgable. 17 years as a tech, a couple years in sales. In this case, I told him I was comparing a particular Nissan and a particular Toyota, and he explained why the Toyota(!) was the better choice (this is a Nissan dealership, remember). He knew every mechanical detail, every option package, every... everything. He left me wishing I could do business with him. He said several of the salesmen and he have been together over five years. So... I can't rate buying a car there, but I sure liked my experience there. Enough to want to go online and write about it. More
I've bought cars from a number of different dealerships around the country. so I thought I knew what I was getting myself into but these people are incredibly unethical. when I think back on the experienc around the country. so I thought I knew what I was getting myself into but these people are incredibly unethical. when I think back on the experience I still can't believe the underhanded lengths they go too just to sell a car. STAY AWAY!!! I went in and negotiated to buy a Frontier and told them up front that the deal was dependant on the refinace of my house, after which I would have sizeable downpayment so I could have an afforable payment. they acted as if this was fine and they wrote up two contracts which I stupidly signed after their high-pressure pitch. I asked them not to pull my credit and didn't give them my SS# , they did it anyway I later found out. After my refinace fell through I told them I couldn't afford the payment. They kept harrassing me with phone calls threatening to ruin my credit saying it didn't matter that I never took possesion of the car I had bought it anyway. I went in to talk to them and try and solve the problem. after talking to the general Manager Ronnie Eames, at length he acted as if he would let me out of the contract. He said he would call me the next day and let me know what he decided. I didn't hear from him so assumed he had let it go. untill I got a payment notice in the mail a few weeks later form Nissan. They didn't even bother to tell me they sent it in. I tried to talk to Ronnie Eames again going down to see him 4 more times he was never man enough to face me, never returned my call even though he said he would. I eventually went an picked up the car I had allegedlly "bought" because the payment was due and the mental energy of fighting the bad situation was too much. Anyway buyer beware! in UT don't sign anything unless you are sure. My dealings prior to Tim Dahle at Ken Garff seemed much better. More
