I saw the car I had been looking for at Tony Divino in Layton. We went to Layton to look at it. Our salesperson was Sean, he was great to work with. We purchased the car, everyone was very helpful. I would have given them a “0” rating if that were possible. We had our 2025 Prius towed to Tony Divino Toyota because we hit a piece of debris on the freeway and wrecked a tire and wheel, and Toyota possible. I spoke to one of the dealership’s service managers, explained the situation, and was told they wouldn’t cover the claim because it was an “after market” road hazard policy. She never even made an attempt to look the information up through Toyota Care. I have tire and wheel protection through Toyota Care, and was denied coverage, had to pay for the repair out of pocket, because the dealership claimed it couldn’t find record of my tire coverage and denied my request for a refund. After contacting Toyota Financial about the dealership issue, the representative verified the fact that the Tony Divino should have been able to verify my coverage by VIN number, telephone number, or name and address. I was also told by the Toyota Care representative that because of the time delay in reporting and filing a claim, I may not be reimbursed at all. I have had the same Toyota Care coverage on the other 6 Toyota vehicles I currently own, or have owned, and have never experienced treatment like this from any other Toyota dealership. I always come to Tony Divino Toyota in Riverdale, UT because I like the service there. About twice a year I travel 350 miles to the area and visit to have them check out my car for any repairs, oil cha because I like the service there. This last time I was informed by Jorge Grajeda that I needed some things done, but I was not pressured to do them all at once.
