I was not happy that customers are charged for a diagnostic fee just to check why the check engine light is on. In the past, garages would have to use their professional knowledge to find out why t diagnostic fee just to check why the check engine light is on. In the past, garages would have to use their professional knowledge to find out why the light is on. To spend $250 to find out that the gas cap is the problem is out of line. It pretty much cost me over $250, to change a gas cap. And now adding cost to use a credit card was another rediculous charge. To spend four hundred plus to change oil, rotate tires, credit card charge and a gas cap is unbelievable. Note; Diagnostic tool is for your benefit to identify the exact problem. If mechanics were knowledgeable and experts at their job, they would not need that tool. More
