Steve, buying a truck six hours away, driving it six hours back to be repaired, and then bringing it here when it still wasn’t fixed is certainly a strategy. We performed a proper Nissan diagnostic and explained the results. When Sam reviewed the same online information you referenced, it pointed right back to the same repair path we recommended. Sometimes the internet and trained technicians end up on the same page. Diagnostics aren’t a scam, they’re how issues get narrowed down. What you choose to do with that information is always up to you. Hopefully the next stop is closer to home, or at least fewer hours away. You forgot to mention you charged me for "two"scans I needed a scan from a a Nissan dealer to purchase a security plus warranty from Nissan. You did that. Same scanner,same information. I already told you when I brought the truck in it was showing a P2002 code after a turbo install. I could come up with that code with any $29 scanner. I asked for MORE information from an advanced scan. You charged me for information I had already given you...then doubled the cost. There is a whole lot more information to gather given this truck's history before replacing a $5,500 filter on a 41,000 mile truck,a filter that typically lasts 150,000 to 200,000 or longer. Sorry but you were wrong and your approach was wrong. Buying a truck else where and bringing.it to another NISSAN dealership has nothing to do with double charging for information I already had. I have contacted Nissan customer service. They will call me Tuesday. Next Better Business Bureau. Then maybe the attorney General"s office. I don’t like people to take money from me for work they didn't do. All you did was regurgitate what I already told you and then charge almost $400 for MY information. Sorry that won't work for me.
