A marketing agent basically admitted as much to me after luring me into the showroom on false pretense to claim my "$2,500 cash prize." Disgraceful. What they didn't know is I'm almost ready to shop for a new Hyundai, and they're closest to my home. Guess who won't be getting our business? Playing confidence games with customers is no way to build a business, folks. More
Lies, lies, and more lies Salesmen don’t know their cars or options. Expect to hear a lot of “I don’t know’s”. And the boss will gaslight you if the delivery experience is messy and sloppy. Shouldn’t a new car look like someone hasn’t eaten in it? Did they drop crumbs during a test drive? They’ll say you’re being “hyperbolic” (direct quote). You ask them to send it back to detail and they comply, begrudgingly. But then they present you with the numbers they’ve been trying to hide from you in the deal you made without any documentation. It doesn’t jive with the verbal. You ask them about it. They say no. Not going to work with you. So you walk out. The next day the salesman offers a sterile apology lacking empathy. They just want the deal to go through. You ignore the email. Then they pester you one more time the next day because you didn’t give them the decency of an email response. Meanwhile, you were lining up a purchase of the exact same car at another dealership for a cash savings of $500. Good thing the deal in Torrington fell through! Sure, you drove 140 miles for a better experience, but it was worth it. Run, don’t walk from the Alfano dealerships in Torrington. They’re not transparent and they don’t want repeat customers. And that stuff about Hyundai being a financing company? Not true. They’ll show you your financing was from Ally Bank (remember GMAC? The bankruptcy? Yeah. That company. They’re using GM to finance their cars.) #bailout #fail More

Spoke to 2 people (Tony L. and Jim) on Friday to confirm coming in Saturday to sign papers where they both assured me everything would be set for 12 o'clock appointment. Saturday morning I take out a $16,000 loan and call them that I am on way and they tell me there was a "miscommunication" and they sold the vehicle Thursday, 3 days after I put $1200 down. They completely undermined and disrespected what my deposit stands for and left me to believe the truck was being held for me when clearly they have no regard for customer service or satisfaction. Dont bother unless you like to play the Bait and switch game Really nice and helpful salesman (Gary S.). BUT Typical bait and switch dealership. Online price was $7k (I have screen shots and emails). I Asked for Really nice and helpful salesman (Gary S.). BUT Typical bait and switch dealership. Online price was $7k (I have screen shots and emails). I Asked for photos via email 4 times over a week time period. Verified VIN to make sure it was the same vehicle as advertised. Finally got the photos sent to me via text. I showed up next day to test drive vehicle....at which time they changed the price to $8k online after I said I was interested in a cash deal! Then I was told that the Owner was actually jacking it up to $10k unless I did financing with them, only then would the $8k price be honored. They wouldn’t honor the $7k price and said it was too low compared to similar comps in the area (not my problem). But if I was paying cash it would be higher than the $8k. NO THANK YOU! YOU CAN KEEP YOUR CAR (which needs a valve cover gasket by the way). My advice...DON’T DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE, unless you like to play pricing games and be jerked around. Terrible unethical and unprofessional management. More
Service department The service department is great. The service staff is responsible, respectful and the wait time is manageable. They are great team of guys at the desk The service department is great. The service staff is responsible, respectful and the wait time is manageable. They are great team of guys at the desk and also those working on the car. Once, the car was returned to me I immediately felt the difference in the drive. Thank you for a high quality of work. More

Bait car listings on line I saw a listing Alfono Nissan placed in Autotrader for a 2012 Nissan Frontier SV listed at $16,995. It was listed as being at their Nissan dealership I saw a listing Alfono Nissan placed in Autotrader for a 2012 Nissan Frontier SV listed at $16,995. It was listed as being at their Nissan dealership so I drove by and saw it in the lot with a "sold" sticker on it. About a week later, I saw that the vehicle was still listed as being for sale both on Autotrader and on their own website. I sent a message inquiring about the vehicle and received a call with in minutes. I was told that it was available and made an appointment to see it at 10:30 the following day... at their Hyundai dealership. I thought it odd that they would have me test drive a Nissan at their Hyundai dealership and not at their Nissan dealership. I received a second call the following morning asking if I was interested in the truck. I told them that I was coming to see it at 10:30. Well, I got there at 10:30 I didn't see the truck anywhere on the lot. The sales manager told me that they had to go pick it up at their "storage lot". After about 20 minutes, I was directed to a salesman who seemed nice enough but told me that the price listed on the website was contingent upon my financing it through them (I planned to pay cash). We never got to any of the actual numbers because they came back and said that the truck had been sold on Saturday (the day AFTER I saw it). I think they knew that it was sold all along and basically lied to get me into their showroom. My proof? As of this writing, the truck is still listed on both Autotrader and Alfano's website and now appears on Carfax as "newly listed". Apparently, the vehicles they list are just bait. Won't be buying here. More
