My Hyundai Experience I would have probably bought another VW Golf diesel had they been available. I also looked at the KIA Soul - too small. In looking at the Kia Soul, I I would have probably bought another VW Golf diesel had they been available. I also looked at the KIA Soul - too small. In looking at the Kia Soul, I learned more about Kia and Hyundai. One of the biggest things that drew me to Kia and Hyundai was that you get more "bang for your buck" with them. Also, I keep my cars for a long time (> 10yrs) and so the longer warranty offered by Hyundai (and Kia) was attractive. I found that Kia and Hyundai were fairly comparable. There is no Kia dealership near where I live and the Hyundai dealership is in the next town over - so I was going to go with Hyundai. I initially wanted a 2016 Sonata 2.0T Limited, but it was too late in the "run" for me to get one in the color with the accessories that I wanted. I decided to wait for the 2017's. While I was waiting for the 2017 Sonatas to come out, I drove a friends Kia Sportage. I really liked it and so I decided to also look at the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. When the 2017 Sonatas came out I found that I could only get the 2017 Sonata 2.0T Limited in black or in white. I did not want either of those colors, so I test drove the Santa Fe Sport and decided on a 2017 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T Ultimate model as I was going to be able to get one of those in the color I wanted. If the 2017 Sonata 2.0T Limited were actually available in colors other than black or white, I most likely would have purchased a Sonata. More
