AVOID--negotiated to buy a 2021 Ram Limited Edition (Vin 1C6SRFHM6MN824304) but after we agreed on price to purchase--the sales manager told me he could not sell this vehicle due to a recall (Z#96) which wa 1C6SRFHM6MN824304) but after we agreed on price to purchase--the sales manager told me he could not sell this vehicle due to a recall (Z#96) which was pending corrective action from Ram. Then Towbin wanted us to switch to a more expensive 2022 Ram Sport model which was "like the Limited Edition". After checking the truck, told them it did not have several options -- 12 inch infoscreen, air suspension, powered running boards, spray-in liner, etc. Towbin told me they would install several of these and have sales manager (Manny) explain how to upgrade the infoscreen to the larger 12 inch screen. Towbin asked for a deposit to hold the vehicle. When I came back to pick up the truck, Manny told me the infoscreen could not be upgraded. Ended up not purchasing as we wanted the features of the Limited Edition. I offered to buy the first truck we agreed on (Limited Edition) again, but Manny said they could not sell it to me and would take it to auction. After I left the dealership, Towbin refuses to return my deposit after they said it would be returned -- after many calls and texts, to follow up, Towbin still refuses to refund my deposit or return my calls/texts. I think this was nothing more than a "bait and switch". I ended up buying a Limited Edition Ram truck at Chapman Chrysler (right down the street) which is a much more professional dealership. The original Ram truck (limited Edition) was still listed for sale on Towbin's website almost two weeks later. Update -- Received a call from very helpful manager who assisted in refunding my deposit -- Very professional and helpful. Thanks so very much in resolving this issue! More
