I went to Toyota Knoxville to trade in two vehicles for a new Tundra. We were told by the salesman that we would get $62,000 for one of the vehicles and $7500 for the other. The deal sheet didn’t say this so new Tundra. We were told by the salesman that we would get $62,000 for one of the vehicles and $7500 for the other. The deal sheet didn’t say this so I kept asking the salesman where the $7500 was going. He went in and brought out another deal sheet saying it was added and it was worked into another number though our Trade allowance said only $62,500. He said it was just for the one vehicle. When going through financing paperwork they will NOT show you how much you’re financing. They only show you payment amounts and warranty options. During this process I told them I didn’t want one of the warranties they were pushing. They said they were removing it and came back saying they made it cheaper and kept moving on. After we got home I looked at the paperwork provided and found they still charged us $1,000 for the warranty we told them we didn’t want and didn’t provide us with anything itemizing what we financed and trade in values. I went to cancel the warranty and requested an itemized sheet and come to find that $62,500 was how much they gave us for both vehicles. I tried to explain that this was not what we thought we were agreeing to and that Chevrolet was going to give me $62,000 for just the one so we would have NEVER done the deal if we thought we were only getting $55,000 instead of $62,500 for just the one vehicle. The dealership refuses to help with the misunderstanding and has truly taken advantage of us. They should NEVER have the sales men discussing numbers when they have no idea what they mean. Our salesman couldn’t read the deal sheet so why would the customers be able to understand them. I am so mad at myself for trusting this dealership to not take advantage of us after being loyal customers. We have a TERRIBLE time with the service department and still chose to work with Toyota again and they cheated us out of $7,500 and refuse to make it right because we signed the deal sheet. I understand we signed it and it’s completely our fault for signing something we didn’t fully understand- lesson learned. But shame on Toyota Knoxville for taking advantage of hardworking people. Make sure you have a detailed explanation as to where all your money is going and how much your financing before signing papers with them- they do not like to show you that. I have seen numerous reviews about how they sneak warranties in and I can see how. This is why people HATE buying cars from dealerships because you walk in already knowing your going to be screwed but I can’t believe I let it happen this badly. We essentially gave them a truck for free and they know it. They told us we could buy it back for $10,000 🤢 like we are going to pay $10K for a truck we’ve already paid off. More
Misleading information, lies, and a lack of concern from upper management. I was looking for a vehicle with a specific color combination and features. I worked with George Mosier to find a vehicle that upper management. I was looking for a vehicle with a specific color combination and features. I worked with George Mosier to find a vehicle that meet my needs and made a deposit it reserve it. I was assured the vehicle was reserved and that it would be mine (in writing via text). Over a six-week period, I initiated contact several times, and was consistently told I was all set. George never once reached out to me. The delivery window opened and I asked for an update since the window was a three-week period. I was told I was "assigned" to a different vehicle that would be ready in 7 more weeks. I was never contacted, asked if I wanted to continue my reservation, or given a legitimate explanation as to why the vehicle I had put a deposit on, and was assured would be mine, would no longer be delivered to me. I went in and asked to speak to a manager, as George had lost all of my trust. I was connected with the "new car manager," Jerry Harlan. I explained my situation and Jerry admitted how messed up it was and that communication should have been much better. He questioned George about the situation while I was there and George blatantly lied about some information, which I was instantly able to show in writing was untrue. I made it clear to Jerry that I only wanted acknowledgment from upper management—specifically one of the top 3 ranking managers—that I was wronged, and an explanation of how a vehicle that I made a deposit on could fall through. That is all I wanted. I followed up with Jerry (this dealership apparently never initiates contact with updates/info), and he told me he spoke to Jason Carson, the General Manager. He then provided me with the days/times Jason is in the dealership. I had planned to go in and talk to Jason, then I realized that if Jason doesn't care enough to reach out to me personally, what was the point? He obviously does not care about my customer experience with his dealership. I live 10 minutes from this TOK and was looking forward to a long standing relationship, that would include using their service department. If Jason had come through and just taken the time to reach out to me and explained what/how things went wrong and acknowledged it wasn't right, I was still considering using their service department moving forward. I will be getting all service done Fox Toyota or Rick McGills. I'm really disappointed in the lack of care by Toyota of Knoxville and will be reaching out to both Regional and hopefully US headquarters (if I can locate legitimate contact information) to try and learn how a deposit on a vehicle does not secure it, and let them know how Toyota of Knoxville simply does not care about their customer's experience. My family has had great experiences with Fox Toyota multiple times, and I regret not going there. It is a farther drive, but would have been worthwhile. I flew to Cleveland yesterday and purchased a truck - I'd rather fly to another city and drive 8 hours than ever trust Toyota of Knoxville again. More
We had bought a Corolla Hybrid from Eric before and his service and attention to our needs was one of the positive attractions that made dealing with him again so congenial. We had had a Camry (more than o service and attention to our needs was one of the positive attractions that made dealing with him again so congenial. We had had a Camry (more than one, actually) in the past and the fact that a AWD Hybrid was available this time was crucial for our decision. Also the quieter ride was an important factor and Eric made it easy for us to test drive the Camry in situations that revealed the comfort, quiet and economical fuel usage. Top marks! More
I used Toyota Knoxville for warranty service on my 2019 camry. People were nice enough but did not do the job they were supposed to do. I couldn't figure out why I needed tires so soon. The reason was over camry. People were nice enough but did not do the job they were supposed to do. I couldn't figure out why I needed tires so soon. My experience with Toyota of Knoxville is so recent I am still waiting for the license plate. Do not be deceived by their customer friendly facade. Once you sign and drive off the parking lot, their demean still waiting for the license plate. Do not be deceived by their customer friendly facade. Once you sign and drive off the parking lot, their demeanor changes. Finance Austin, Sales Andy and Sales Manager Riley guaranteed us our bumper-to-bumper contract would cover our vehicle for 100,000 miles. Today they refused to repair the AM/FM radio. This is not our first bad experience with Toyota so shame on me but there is no reason for you to do the same. Trust me, buy the other vehicle at another dealership. More

I felt very comfortable with him assisting me with my new car purchase. When my new RAV4 came in, he came to my home to drive me to the dealership to get my car. My son, Brain, was to take me but he was on duty at Maryville Fire Department that day. Otherwise, I would have had to wait until the next day or Monday to pick it up. You have such nice folks working at Knoxville Toyota. More

I came to Knoxville about 4 years ago. At the time I had a 2016 Tacoma. I've had all my services done at Toyota Knoxville. I even traded that Tacoma for a 2021 Tacoma at this dealership. At the time I had a 2016 Tacoma. I've had all my services done at Toyota Knoxville. I even traded that Tacoma for a 2021 Tacoma at this dealership. I've had no problems with the services or the employees , until Monday Sept 16th. When I pulled up to the service bay,I noticed a car in thw far right lane stand to back in as I was pulling in to the center lane. I was rudely told to stop and to let that car go in front of me. When I asked the person that was direction this car to go in front of me, I was told cause she was here first, even though I was already in that lane first. The attitude of this employee was un called for and unprofessional. So after that happened, I had the auto butler and oil change done with no problem. I went to get a rental car and that was fine, until I went to return it it. The woman behind the desk said that I used 7% of the gas. All I did was drive 40 miles round trip in the hybrid cat. Now come to find out, 7% equals 1.6 gallons of gas, and they wantes to charge me a little over $10 to have it " filled " back up ! Not only was she was arguingand being rude to me, again, that was very unprofessional. I know that if I had my tank full and I used 2 gallons of gas, the gas needle doesn't move. Now,, I could of gone to any Toyota dealership, like Fox Toyota, Rusty Wallace Toyota, but no, I chose Toyota Knoxville. So why should I keep going back to Toyota Knoxville ? Fox Toyota is alot closer. Just a little disappointed with this dealership right now More
