When I walked into Toyta Marin car dealership my overall understanding on the process of buying a new car was unclear with the slight expectation tha When I walked into Toyta Marin car dealership my overall understanding on the process of buying a new car was unclear with the slight expectation that it could possibly be a stressful and obviously analytical ordeal. Instead shortly after I walked in I was greeted by two gentleman who where both equally eager and willing to help with all of my questions, For I had many. Both men were extremely patient and accommodating with all of my needs and could not have made the process any more pleasant then they did. They where sincerely helpful throughout out the entire process. I would highly recommend this dealership and especially the individuals who work at Toyota Marin to steer first time car buyers in the in the right direction. More

Kalvin Carr and Toyota Marin are ahead of the curve I went to eight total dealerships in one day. Some treated me like a second-class citizen the moment I casually asked for a test drive and expressed b I went to eight total dealerships in one day. Some treated me like a second-class citizen the moment I casually asked for a test drive and expressed being in the exploratory research phase. Not Kalvin. He was very engaging and informative while also applying zero sales pressure. Actually made it an enjoyable process. Less then 24 hours later I bought the car we test drove the day before. Highly recommend Kalvin. Visiting all those dealerships in one day really put into perspective how Toyota Marin's customer service is the exception, not the rule. More
Childish, hardsell and inappropriate. I had initially contacted Brian at Marin Toyota about a yellow used Prius C, and scheduled a test drive. I arrived with cash in hand, mold vehicle's t I had initially contacted Brian at Marin Toyota about a yellow used Prius C, and scheduled a test drive. I arrived with cash in hand, mold vehicle's title to trade in, and was excited to see if the Prius C would work. I was greeted by two young men who were childish and inappropriate. I stated that I was looking for the yellow Prius C and they laughed. I asked what they were laughing about, and if it was the car. No, it was the word, "yellow" and then one of them (not Martin), said, "Don't worry; it's not like you have boogers on your face or something." Literally, he said that. If you are in 5th grade and hanging with your buddies, that's funny and fine to say. But, not at work and not to a customer. But, the booger joke elicited more laughter from Martin and the young man who thought he was being funny. I knew immediately that no matter how much I liked the yellow Prius, I would not give this company any money. But, since I had driven down from Sonoma County, I decided to do a test drive anyway, and see if the Prius C was even an option. While I had hoped to meet up with Brian -- with whom I had talked earlier -- he was busy. I was left to deal with Martin, who was clearly no more mature than his coworker. Martin told me a lot of misinformation, such as, "Marin Toyota is special. We have a 3 day return policy, no questions asked. That makes us stand out from the competition." I explained that many places had 7 to 10 day return policies. And, "This car was a lease, which means they had to keep it in great condition." Upon getting into the car, Martin immediately, without simply asking me to roll up the window, leaned over, his head nearly in my lap, and rolled up the driver's side windows. Again, not a great deal of maturity. Hoping to salvage a very unenjoyable test drive (the car has poor visiibility, Martin was pushy and problematic), I asked Martin a little about himself. When I learned he lived in Novato, I asked for how long. Martin, for undiscernible reasons, said, "Guess." I told him that I was not interested in playing guessing games. Throughout this experience, Martin did an awkward version of the hard sell. After I said I was not interested in games, he said that Toyota Marin does not play games, and that they have one low price. He next saw a small Lexus and told me how he could put me in one of those, although I had no interest except the Prius, and had made that clear. Despite this awkward, inappropriate and uncomfortable test drive, Martin suggested that we look through the rest of the inventory and see what else I might like to drive. I will never go there again and would advise others to avoid this place. More

I researched Toyota Prius V’s before fin I avoided buying a car for many years as the process of it had always been such an unpleasant game of sorts. I researched Toyota Prius V’s before finding the perfect one at Toyota Marin. As fate would have it, George Tenido assisted me with the sale, making the whole experience a positive one. Colt Davis was patient with my many questions on the financing and paperwork, staying very late on a Saturday night to get the deal done. It made my life easier that they delivered the car to me, which I greatly appreciated. I have shared about it with others, and will continue to do so as the days of old school haggling are over at Toyota Marin. I felt respected and supported. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! More
