The Highlander Experience. We bought our Highlander on August 2, 2018. We went in not expecting to buy our Highlander. We saw it on Craigslist and swung by to see it. They were We bought our Highlander on August 2, 2018. We went in not expecting to buy our Highlander. We saw it on Craigslist and swung by to see it. They were open late and we took it for a quick drive. We liked it. We bought it that night and we went home. The next day we brought in our trade-in and picked up our new 2010 Highlander. I was so excited. I got it home and the first thing I noticed was that the steering wheel was off, the fog lights didn't work and my bumper popped out. (the glue holding the bumper to the fender gave way) I called immediately. They said bring it in and they would fix it all. I dropped it off and they had it for 9 days. I showed up and the steering wheel was fixed but the bumper was worse and the fog lights still didn't work. They had it again for a few days and said it was ready. I went to pick it up and noticed that only one fog light worked and now the screws inside the fender and all the clips holding the wheel well and other parts in place were missing. I left without the car. I also noticed scratches along the side. (not intentional) It looked like someone brushed by a bush or something like that. I mentioned it. They said they would have it fixed and they would detail it. This was August 31st. I was called on the September 4th to come and pick it up. I showed up. The fog light was still not fixed. They washed my car, put 3 screws in the wheel well. They couldn't do anything more about the bumper. I was informed I bought a used car and if I was still not happy they would buy the car back. We found the car we wanted and now what about my trade in? Frustrated I called and left a message with the general manager. I was called by the general sales manager. They had me come in and in a day they had the clips all in place and fixed the fog light. Later I noticed a couple personal things were missing from my Highlander, (Granted I did not call them or say anything about the missing things) Eye glasses and the floor mats that came with the Highlander. The Highlander came with floor mats with rubber floor mats over them but now the under floor mats are gone. The outline of the floor mats in the carpet are there. I even took pictures of the outline. I have pictures of the entire process. Sad day for Toyota. More
The time I spend making an appointment and waiting for my car to get done is well worth the value I get for bringing it there. Fast. Friendly. Professional. For less than I expected to pa I was able to pull my car right into the service bay when I arrived at my appointment time. I waited in their lounge which was extremely comfortable a I was able to pull my car right into the service bay when I arrived at my appointment time. I waited in their lounge which was extremely comfortable and my car was ready when they said it would be (actually a little sooner). The cost was less than I have paid when servicing my other cars at various other places. The staff answered all of my questions and demonstrated a full knowledge of the vehicle. This is where I will be taking my car for maintenance from now on. More
