STAY AWAY ! ! NEW OWNERSHIP! After purchasing two new vehicles from this dealership and returning for service over the last 8 years, we returned yesterday to purc ! NEW OWNERSHIP! After purchasing two new vehicles from this dealership and returning for service over the last 8 years, we returned yesterday to purcahse a used vehicle. We experienced manipulative and shady sales tactics to say the least. We arrived to look at what appeared to be a solid used Tacoma on the TOB website. Whomever posted the truck on their website selectively and intentionally took and uploaded photos to hide the SIGNIFICANT damage to the interior and exterior of this vehicle and the icing on the cake - THE TRUCK STILL HAD A USED DRESSER IN THE BACK OF IT FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER ! We moved on to check out a used 4 Runner and it was FILTHY. Extremely dirty and still soiled and had trash from the previous owner - we didn't even leave the parking lot before we moved on to a used Honda SUV that was available. The Honda ? Dirty as well, rear view mirror was broken off and had a wird small one taped on to it ? The Salesman drove my wife and I in the Honda to their other office to get keys for another truck and the vehicle was shuddering the entire drive, even as passengers, we could tell that either the transmission was going out or there was s significant misfire. A vehicle that shouldve never been put out for sale. How embarrasing it must be as a salesman to take your customer for a test drive and the vehicle has OBVIOUS mechanical issues before even leaving the parking lot. We then Increased our budget to look at a more expensive tacoma that was priced well above fair market value by all standards (KBB, etc.) We then tried to make a deal to purchase the truck and whomever the sales manager was not only absolutley refused to budge AT ALL with our salesperson on the $17k truck that they had priced at $20,200 - he also gave us an insulting offer on our one owner trade in that we had purchased new from TOB - offering 3-5k LESS than the TOB website had quoted me on trade in, less than KBB, less than carfax value and again he refused to budge on the trade in value with the attitude of "well you've seen what you need to spend to get what you want" .....after they showed us vehicles that shouldnt even have been for sale as a bait and switch to get us in the door. We had every opportunity to make a reasonable deal for both parties and the sales manager made SURE that it didn't happen. I don't know if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed but I was embarassed that I have been still recommending people to TOB all these years. I am glad that their shady tactics were so obvious and that the sales manager refused to make a reasonable deal becase we ended up going a couple miles down the road and selling our trade in for an extra 5K over TOB's offer AND we got a tacoma that was same year, better shape and less miles than the one they wanted 20k for, and we bought it for 13K out the door ! Lesson learned and so glad that they were so shady and decietful because it caused us to go elsewhere and get a MUCH better deal. I will absolutely NEVER step foot into this dealership again. Lost a customer for life. More
