I brought my new 4Runner in for its first oil change recently, and while the service itself seemed fine, I noticed a paint chip on the car after I got home. I take really good care of my car and keep it recently, and while the service itself seemed fine, I noticed a paint chip on the car after I got home. I take really good care of my car and keep it spotless, so this was frustrating to see. From the location of the chip, it looks like it may have happened when the hood was opened—possibly while checking the wipers. On top of that, I found oil handprints on both the inside and outside of the car. I know the shop is busy, and I’m not reaching out for compensation or anything like that. I just wanted to give a heads-up so this kind of thing doesn’t happen to other customers. I’ve attached a photo for reference. More
I had to call repeatedly the second day to find out if my car would be ready. No response. So I had to go to dealership only to be told it wouldn’t be ready until around 6.
