My Purchase Experience with Toyota of Bowie. I had been searching for a 2015 4Runner that I had built and priced online at the Toyota website. Toyota of Bowie had a vehicle in stock that was close to having all of the options I wanted except a few accessories which after visiting a few other dealerships, I found were dealer installed option such as mud flaps, running boards, a cargo cover and the remote start. After negotiating the deal, and signing many papers, one of which included the dealer installed options presented as a “What we still owe you” document. That document listed what I thought were the dealer installed options but actually read “Aftermarket” in front of each accessory. In this case, aftermarket meant for them, using aftermarket parts as opposed to dealer installed genuine Toyota parts. I tried afterwards to express my concern with them mostly relating to the remote starter. The other parts were a concern also but not as critical. Having non Toyota parts installed on a brand new vehicle to me was bit deceptive on their part. I guess they were trying to save money by having the remote starter installed somewhere other than their dealership and I still have no clue as to who the remote starter was made by, where it was installed, or any paperwork as to the warranty of the part and only a verbal guarantee that this is covered under the Toyota warranty for the life of the vehicle. As for repeat business, I would probably not shop here again, because the customer service is mediocre at best. More

HOWEVER, THIS IS MY SECOND PURCHASE WITH TOYOTA OF BOWIE AND I PURCHASED ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH THEIR OTHER DEALERSHIP-CAPITAL PLAZA TOYOTA! I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASES AND FOUND AN EXCEPTIONAL AND CARING SALESPERSON IN JAMAR WILLS. HE WAS SUCH A NICE GUY! I got the car that I wanted, the price I wanted (based on extensive research), the trade in value I wanted, and they (Ricardo and Manager David Gruner) were very easy to work with. I'm definitely a difficult person, and I typically hate the whole process, but they made it easy, and not in a sales / tricky way. They were honest, helpful and knowledgeable. But what REALLY impressed me is when I had questions and came back after I had purchased the car, they were just as friendly and helpful, and really took care of me when they didn't need to. It's clear that Ricardo and Toyota of Bowie care about me as a customer, and want me to be happy with my purchase. As a result, they have a customer for life. More

We’d been looking online for about 6 months and decided tha Our family purchased a 2015 Toyota Highlander from Toyota of Bowie (MD) in December 2014. We’d been looking online for about 6 months and decided that the Highlander would best fit our growing family and lifestyle. We looked at the Honda Odyssey, but decided to go with the Highlander since my wife couldn’t bear to drive a mini-van. We decided to order a 2015 model so she could get the color and packages we wanted. ToB was where we decided to order our Highlander because of another friend’s recommendation. Harold Bautista was our sales assistant who ordered a 2015 Limited Sapphire Blue Pearl & Beige interior model with the technology package. Harold did a great job communicating where the vehicle was in the build process, which was really nice because we were extremely excited to get the car. It was 37 degrees when we came to pick it up. Harold had our car prepped and parked inside their enclosed garage with a big red bow, so we didn’t have to sit in the cold while he reviewed the features. We stayed warm and our small children could run around while we learned about the car’s capabilities and features. Harold was thorough and patient with our many questions while helping us set up my personal settings and synchronizations. We did buy the Toyota all included maintenance package (5 yrs / 75k miles) and Toyota Service Contract (8 yrs / 100k miles) and felt it was a great deal in the long run, which in fact will pay for itself. I drove home satisfied, pleased and positive with our whole purchasing and buying experience at ToB. I’d highly recommend Toyota of Bowie and a Highlander to any family looking for an alternative to a Mini Van. More

He said quickly with a professional and friendly attitude that he would take care of me in the absence of the guy I normally. relate with. Mr. Slaughter took care of me as if he known me for years. I think, if you offer it that he should be nominated as the Assistant Service Manager for the month. He made me feel extremely welcomed this morning. I've been coming to Toyota of Bowie for many years and just like the service, but it appeared special for some reason this morning. Perhaps because of Mr. Slaughter's customer service personality.
