I took my tundra in to have the driver wiper repaired. The diagnosis was wiper arm and assembly. They then said I also needed to change the cabin filter which had previously been done recently by the sa The diagnosis was wiper arm and assembly. They then said I also needed to change the cabin filter which had previously been done recently by the same service department. Needless to say a windshield wiper repair for $750 was a bit much. I opted to not have it repaired and asked for my keys which took a bit. As I drove off I noticed that the wiper arm was now lower and not stuck in the middle of the windshield. I hit the intermittent wipe and the wiper was now working . I tried all speeds and the wiper was also working in each speed. What puzzles me is how can your service department quote a ridiculous amount for parts that were obviously not even the problem! Also if I would have chosen to leave it for repair I would have paid the ridiculous amount and would the work have actually been done. It leads me to believe that your mechanics who work on a commission should not try to scam the customers. Thankfully whatever they did fixed the problem, and it saved me nearly $800 if I would have left it for repair. More
