Impossible to rate the service department as I have left multiple messages to schedule an air bag recall repair, but NOONE HAS EVER CALLED ME BACK. All I get are answering machines at the service number, b multiple messages to schedule an air bag recall repair, but NOONE HAS EVER CALLED ME BACK. It would be the last place I would purchase a vehicle as their service department apparently does not care about the customer More
Bought a car with this place in June of 2019. 20,000 miles later the engine blew up, I took it to the service department as the engine was in the process of breaking down permanently. There was a 20,000 miles later the engine blew up, I took it to the service department as the engine was in the process of breaking down permanently. There was an audible metal shaving noise coming from the engine and the engine would cut off while I was driving with a message that said, “power steering failure.” When I told the service department worker, Lloyd, about what was going on they said, “Okay we have looked at it; everything is fine. You’re good to go - there are no codes.” I explained to him that the noise coming from the engine is not normal and that I’m not driving that car home. So they reluctantly said, “okay we will look at it.” I sat around for 8 hours waiting on results and they finally came out to said they don’t know what’s going on and they need to send a Toyota Tech. After telling the service manager Pete, “I need a ride to base in the morning for work - may I have a rental?” He stated that he would give me the keys and I could just drive my car that the engine was about to blow up in. After the Toyota tech came out they stated they weren’t replacing the engine under warranty because I was “racing a 2020 Toyota Corolla and racing voids the warranty.” I asked them to explain that and they couldn’t. They just handed me a sheet of paper showing where the pedal position sensor tripped a code to the computer. The sensor tripped 169 times for over revving, the first example of it tripping I was going 32 mph at 2300 RPM. So if you buy a Toyota, please do not go over 2300 RPM or it may void your warranty. I read the manual and the warranty and saw nowhere where it stated that was over revving. (While all of this is going on the people of Toyota FWB sat me down to explain to me that this vehicle was a lost cause and the only remedy would be to buy a new car. They obviously did not want to do the warranty work on the engine). Being a mechanic in the military, I know that cars have rev limiters in them to remove the possibility of over revving. I asked if my rev limiter had gone bad or if they troubleshot it; to which they told me to xxxx off basically. This is probably the most unprofessional service department I have ever seen and I firmly believe they should not have jobs. Pete told me to call the regional manager and I did just that. She was obviously upset that Pete gave me her number and was wondering why he would even do that in the first place. They also took the car apart, found out the wrong information, the tech didn’t even know what the part was called then gave it back to me. When Toyota of Fort Walton Beach gave the car back, they threw the oil pan, and all the plastic xxxx all over these new cars, into the back seat with oil all over them. They told me to put it back together and that I’m “lucky” I am not being charged by them for the “diagnostic work”. I got it towed to Bob Tyler Toyota Pensacola to get a second opinion and everyone there agreed that Toyota of Fort Walton Beach was doing us dirty because they don’t want to do warranty work. They tried to help us out as much as they could but in the state the Fort Walton Beach store had left my car in, they were not able to diagnose it. 6 months later and now the car is running again, it was taken to an old retired Toyota Tech and he said that these engines suck nowadays. He also said that he easily found out the reason why the engine was going to total itself; the crankshaft was pushing itself into the flywheel. So in one week this retired mechanic took the time to find out what was actually wrong with the car. The engine was about $7,000 to replace and I have documentation and the old motor to prove everything I’ve stated in this review. Toyota of Fort Walton Beach is not military friendly at all as they refused to give me a rental during all this to help me to base. They are unprofessional and have caused my family a lot of hardships. All they care about is that they have their money. More

During my last visit to the dealership, I was very dissatisfied. Plus, I lost my hubcap right after the techs did tire work for me, and I don't think that's a coincidence. I probably will not come bac dissatisfied. Plus, I lost my hubcap right after the techs did tire work for me, and I don't think that's a coincidence. I probably will not come back unless I know that the part is covered by my warranty. I got the work done that I needed to get done for $1,500 less at a different mechanic shop. And, the Toyota tech said that I needed to have my airbag and seat replaced, but the light was really on because the wires weren't connected properly under the seat. They could have checked that out, but instead they were going to charge me over $1,400 for a new seat. The diagnostic that they did cost $145, but they didn't tell me they were going to charge a shop fee, and I ended up paying $170 to cover the diagnostic charge which was misleading. Additionally, I waited for over 3 hours for them to check out my car when they said that they would have me out by 5:00 because I had to be in class, but I missed class because they didn't keep their word.
