Avoid the service department at Toyota of Gastonia. I brought my vehicle here for an in-depth diagnosis after a local mechanic replaced the EGR valve, spark plugs, and coil packs. I explicitly told the service team these parts were brand new and that I needed them to find the root cause of the issue.Instead of diagnosing the vehicle, they insisted on replacing the spark plugs and coil packs again with their OEM brand. I told them to only perform this work if they were 100% certain it would fix the problem. They charged me $826, called me to pick it up, and the car made the exact same noise the second I started it. They completely ignored my vehicle history and threw expensive parts at a problem they didn’t diagnose.When the noise persisted right there at the lot, I refused to take it home and left it there overnight so a Master Mechanic could look at it. The next day, they called me to pick it up again, but it was still making the exact same noise. A mechanic even told me to "just drive it and it may work out the issue." Only after that did they finally offer to take it back to run deeper tests.The Master Mechanic didn't actually diagnose it until this third attempt. That is when they called to tell me I needed $7,400 in repairs for a bad head gasket. Driving a car with a blown head gasket can completely destroy an engine. Telling a customer to "just drive it" on a misdiagnosed engine is incredibly dangerous and negligent.I was hesitant to trust a dealership, and this proved why. They displayed an absolute lack of competence, ignored my explicit instructions, charged me $826 for useless parts, and gave me advice that could have left me stranded. I will never buy a vehicle or bring a car for service here again. More
Arrived at dealership at 11:15am to purchase my closed end lease vehicle. Met with sales rep at 1120, he took keys to my vehicle said "I'll be right back" and proceeded to leave me outside with no update end lease vehicle. Met with sales rep at 1120, he took keys to my vehicle said "I'll be right back" and proceeded to leave me outside with no update for well over 45 minutes. Finally returned to me and said "oh I am so glad you haven't left, im sorry about that, was worried you were going to leave then I realized I still had your keys" nothing happened to my car in that 45 minutes. Finally process was started, paperwork srarted and half finished then car was then taken for "inspection" and still not returned to me at 3pm. Finally spoke with sales manager on how ridiculous this is and was given a rental to get my certified check from bank. I had less than 20 minutes to get all forms completed with bank before closing. Upon returning to the dealership they gave me 3 pieces of paper to sign then stated "financing will be with you soon". 30 minutes later, still no one with me. Absolutely disgusting amount of time spent in this place. 11:15am arrival and did not depart until after 5pm from the dealership with my keys in hand. My family has been dealing with this dealership for 20+ years. They now lost all repeat business from an entire extended family for this ridiculousness. More

Just had a 15000 service for 24 corolla (tire rotation/fluids topped off). Service took 2 hours. Tire that I had to replace while on the road last fall (left rear) was still on the same rim (not rotated). The tire is a different brand and thus let me know that it had not been moved. Will probably have service done elsewhere. More
Was very satisfied with service. They were friendly and only had to wait 45 minutes. Do not like the new phone system. Like talking with the person of my choice.
