Very quickly it became apparent that this was a family driven unit with many employees that have worked at Greenwich Toyota for a long while. Cleaned up a messy situation Our Rav4's air conditioning blower suddenly shuddered and stopped while running errands on a Friday afternoon. Stopped by the dealer to check it out a Our Rav4's air conditioning blower suddenly shuddered and stopped while running errands on a Friday afternoon. Stopped by the dealer to check it out and was met with the usual promptness and courtesy that is the standard for this dealer. Explained the symptoms to Julio Zallo and since it didn't fit into a "normal" category he didn't think I should drive the car. We were provided a loaner and went home. Julio called and said they were keeping the car overnight and he would call Saturday morning with initial diagnostics. He followed up first thing Saturday saying that mice had set up a nest in the fan blower/cabin filter and had met their demise by being at the wrong place at the wrong time! They dismantled the blower, cleaned the carnage, replaced the filter and disinfected the system. He also took a photo of the blower cage and the carnage within; which now resides in my wife's rogues gallery of photos. Julio and the service manager also suggested ways to keep the mice out in the future. An unfortunate, unexpected event dealt with quickly, professionally and with good humor. This dealer's service department is definitely a keeper! More
