This review is to describe my experience with Toyota of Hollywood dealership and its BAIT AND SWITCH business practices, specifically in the Used Car Sales Department. This occurred yesterday when I went t Hollywood dealership and its BAIT AND SWITCH business practices, specifically in the Used Car Sales Department. This occurred yesterday when I went to see (2) two vehicles, which I had been told were available, only to find out no one could find them (the vehicles were never there) when I arrived. Not (1) one, but (2) two of their team members (A___r and N______s) confirmed the 4runner models were available. In yesterday’s back and forth correspondence, I was even confirmed a max OTD number for one of them by Ms. Amber. The point of this being I did not want two drive an hour to their dealership unless we were close on a number. I informed Ms. Amber the max OTD price I could do, to which she responded: "Okay so I can definitely get you a good deal. And meet you on the 2019 for sure. The 2021 My manager T___r stated if you serious and can come in he will try his best to see what he can do for the 2021" (sic). I even wrote back for to her to confirm that if I found the vehicle acceptable upon inspection my number would be the max OTD, to which she responded with: "Yes that would be the max". So I drive an hour to view the vehicle(s) only to be told they do not have either vehicle, but don't worry "we will make it up with another one". They even have the audacity to tell me, after this entire charade, "You don't need a 4Runner, what you really need is a Platinum 1794", said another sales manager. What a total Joke. This is the archetype behavior that gives used car salespeople the reputation they so deservedly merit. And to add to it all, I literally just received an email from them 10 minutes ago advertising these same two vehicles for sale. I never write reviews. I am writing this one to warn all the future good hard-working people who may be suckered. Who knows what else they may be capable of. Shame on Toyota of Hollywood. I have the correspondence to prove all the above. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. More
