I purchased 2023 Used Toyota RAV4 at nighttime, while taking assurance from someone who told me to “trust him”. I was assured there were no defects but some minor scratches on the front bumper. When daylight came the next day I noticed a crack in my windshield. I immediately notified the Sales Agent. After not receiving a response, I made a decision and called him the next morning. He acknowledged he received my message but as he off didn’t respond. He assured me AGAIN the issue would be handled. I was then given the resolution that the “crack” would be filled, sealed and wouldn’t be visible. That was bogus! He also told me to lie to my insurance and call them in a few months to have it replaced for free. Keep in mind this was day 3 of signing the purchase contract. I am paying an arm and a leg for this vehicle and I am being told there is absolutely no way Toyota of Hollywood will replace the cracked windshield, apparently filling and sealing is all they are obligated to do. As a first time car buyer and I disappointed and sickened by these dealings. This is shotty service and over shadows every good thing that was done to assist me with completing my purchase. I am no longer pissed, I am very ANGRY!! I will be reporting this to the FTC, BBB Auto line, Attorney General’s Office and everyone who will listen, until this is corrected. As someone who has been in the Service Industry for over 20 years, this is absolutely horrendous! At no point in this process did I expect anything like this to happen, but here we are. EDIT Trying to connect with the Used Car Manager has proved to be even worst than being told you are out of luck. Carlos thought it was in his right to blind transfer me into the queue to select prompts after he asked the most ridiculous questions to frustrate an already frustrating situation and when I called him out on it was condescending to the point of annoyance!
