I called the dealership looking to buy a Corolla Cross Hybrid XSE and was connected Carlos Mejia blatanltly lied to me over the phone several times. The process in the website was around $34,000 and I knew there was going to be $3000-4000 in for taxes and fees so I was trying to see if I coukd strike some sort of deal for a lower price. I explained all this to Carlos and he immediately offered $29,000. I was stunned that I didn't have to haggle with him. I asked him 3 more times to confirm that it was $29K out the door and he said yes. He asked if I could come in to complete the deal so for that price I said yes. Before leaving home I texted him to confirm the price again and he said yes. On the way over there he called me to confirm that I was coming in. I asked him once again to confirm the price was $29K out the door and he said yes. I get to the dealership and I called him to let him know I was there. Another sales man, Carl, greeted me and when I told him the price that Carlos told me, he was shocked. He disappeared for a while and when he came back, he told me that he couldn't give me that price. Carl said that Carlos is a Business Development Coordinator or something like that. I guess he develops business by luring people into the showroom by doing bait and switch and lying. Did he expect me to say "Oh well, since I here anyway I'll just buy the car for $38,000?" Of course I was pi$$ed. I wasted an hour of my time driving there and back. I am never giving Toyota of Hollywood my business in the future. If I could give this place a negative 5, I would. I had to wait 40 minutes just to drop my car off for service when I had an appointment.
