Took my Rav4 Hybrid in for an oil change & tire rotation. It's got 34k. I had a coupon for a $19.95 oil change. I was told it was "recommended" that I get a brake fluid exchange. The service advisor rattled of what was going to be done & said something about fuel system cleaner would be added to my car. The quote indicated a multi point inspection would be done (which is customary) & the estimated cost totaled $403.81 (seemed a bit steep, but I assumed I could trust what I was told was necessary). I got my car back & was handed the paperwork. I've been dealing with alot of issues, so I didn't look at the paperwork until today. There is NO printout from a multipoint inspection having been done! There's always a print out provided each time I've had my car serviced at other Toyota dealers! But what is MOST CONCERNING is that I realized that my car DOES NOT NEED AND IT IS IT NOT RECOMMENDED THAT A FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER BE ADDED!! The service manual specifically states a fuel tank additive is recommended in "Hawaii, Puerto Rico & Saipan only"! Nowhere else at anytime EVER! And numerous Toyota dealer websites specifically say "Toyota does not recommend aftermarket fuel additives"!! I also received a notification from Carfax today that says my car needs a tire rotation - as per Toyota of Hollywood!!!! When I got my car back I questioned why the tire pressures were ALL different - 34, 36, 35, 35 - I'm not convinced they even did a tire rotation. I want to add that when I bought my car from this dealer, the sales rep conned me into a "paint protection package" that I was told would cover chips in the paint of my vehicle. It cost an additional $800. I figured it would be worth it since I've had chips in the paint of prior vehicles from stones being thrown from semi trucks. When I finally got around to asking for the paperwork in case I needed to make a claim, I was told by the finance manager that what I paid for was a wax coating that was on the car that prevents sun damage & includes coverage for spills, etc on the carpets or seats. That's NOT what the sales person told me at all. I was told by the finance manager there's nothing they can do, she's no longer there. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM & DO NOT TAKE YOUR TOYOTA THERE FOR SERVICE! YOU CAN'T TRUST THEM. Btw, I called to speak with the service manager, Alex and of course was told "he's on the phone, I'll have him call you when he's done" - NEVER GOT A CALL BACK! I contacted Toyota Corporate and will be filing a complaint with BBB. More
My experience with Toyota of Hollywood has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional, particularly with their Finance Department and post-sale customer service. At the time of purchase, I was sold an frustrating and unprofessional, particularly with their Finance Department and post-sale customer service. At the time of purchase, I was sold an extended warranty. Approximately 8 months later, after selling the vehicle, I requested cancellation of that warranty. I personally provided all required documentation, including official proof that the auto loan was fully paid off. I was clearly informed that the refund would be processed and mailed to me within 3 months. It has now been over 4 months, and I still have not received the refund check. During this time: • I visited the dealership 3–4 times in person • Each visit required waiting over an hour just to speak with someone • Managers and finance representatives do not respond to messages or follow-ups • I received no clear timeline, no confirmation, and no resolution • Each visit resulted in excuses rather than action This is not a minor delay — this is a complete failure to handle a legitimate financial obligation. Once the sale was completed, the level of service dropped significantly, and my issue has been repeatedly ignored. I expected far better from a Toyota dealership. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in Toyota of Hollywood, and I would strongly caution potential buyers to be aware of how post-sale issues and warranty cancellations are handled here. I am still waiting for a refund that should have been issued months ago. More
Toyota of Hollywood would not let me test drive the vehicle I wanted to potentially purchase before working out the price to buy the car first. When discussing the price they had tacked on a $10,000 vehicle I wanted to potentially purchase before working out the price to buy the car first. When discussing the price they had tacked on a $10,000 markup on the Tacoma trd pro I was shopping for. After negotiating for a bit over a ridiculous markup I left. I drove to Toyota of Santa Barbara which has a no markup policy and purchased a very very similar Tacoma trd pro (the only difference was a couple of additional options) for $10,000 less than Toyota of Hollywood's original offer. My recommendation for customers buying higher end Toyota models is to test drive the vehicle at Toyota of Hollywood (if they will let you) and buy it at a dealership like Toyota of Santa Barbara that has a no markup policy. It took me 4 extra hours of my day (driving there and back) to save $10k P.S my TRD pro is amazing. The drive back was awesome More
I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the unprofessional and deeply concerning treatment I received at one of your dealership locations. I visited the store around 7:00 PM with the clear inte unprofessional and deeply concerning treatment I received at one of your dealership locations. I visited the store around 7:00 PM with the clear intention of purchasing a vehicle. I was accompanied by my child, and from the moment I entered, I was met with unwarranted hostility and dismissiveness from both the manager, Randel, and the sales representative, Eric. Eric acted as though helping me was an inconvenience, showing clear reluctance to begin the paperwork. As I sat with my child, who was quietly playing a game, Randel approached me in an aggressive manner and demanded, “What’s the problem?”—a question that confused me, as there had been no issue on my end. He falsely claimed that I had asked for a manager, which I had not. When I calmly responded that I was simply ready to proceed with the paperwork, he raised his voice and began speaking to me in a confrontational tone, trying to escalate a situation that did not exist. To my shock, Randel then told Eric not to assist me and instructed me to come back the next day—essentially refusing to service me. It was very apparent that their behavior stemmed from not wanting to assist a customer so close to closing time. What’s most troubling is that I believe I was racially profiled during this interaction. The level of hostility, condescension, and eagerness to dismiss me felt personal and discriminatory. As a paying customer who came in to make a purchase, I expected basic respect and professionalism. Instead, I left feeling humiliated and disrespected in front of my child. This experience has left a lasting negative impression and is not in line with the values Toyota claims to uphold. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and handled appropriately. No customer should be treated this way—especially when they are ready to do business. More

Had my hybrid battery replaced for $4k. I think they did a fine job but they didn't tell me that my car would fail a smog check until the car had been driven a certain amount of miles and c I think they did a fine job but they didn't tell me that my car would fail a smog check until the car had been driven a certain amount of miles and completed a few internal system checks/milestones. I asked that they cover the cost of the smog check re-test ($43.00) and they completely ignored me. Would never call me back. They offered to give me store credits, but I plan on selling my Prius so that means nothing to me. The service rep even said, yeah I should have told you. Poor form Toyota of Hollywood. Sad and underwhelming customer service. They are always more than happy to take your money, but aren't willing to be fair to their customers. I will never recommend this location to anybody. More
Avoid this Toyota at ALL costs. Their service department has the WORST customer service and has no qualms about humiliating women. Taking your car to get serviced should not entail Their service department has the WORST customer service and has no qualms about humiliating women. Taking your car to get serviced should not entail being talked down upon, and made to feel humiliated. This review is directed specifically towards one individual that I will not name, but let’s just say they should not be working in a customer service position. If you want to feel humiliated and angry, by all means take your car to Toyota of Hollywood. If you would rather not risk your blood pressure, I recommend going to literally ANY other Toyota in LA. To that specific individual, shame on you. I feel sorry for the women in your life, and hope that one day you can grow as a person and be more understanding and compassionate. We are all human, and we all deserve, at a minimum, to be treated with respect. More
