The ABS and Airbag lights were on, not going off. 2007 Tacoma Prerunner. 148,000 miles. Toyota of Lancaster took two days to diagnose the problem. On the first day I received a text asking if I would sell my truck to Toyota of Lancaster, no. On the second day the diagnosis was "The only thing we can find is the connectivity between different points of the electrical harness is out of spec, between the front of the engine compartment and the dash/counsel. There is no apparent damage to the wiring harness.". Solution: Replace the entire wiring harness in the engine compartment. Price $7000. The truck is in great shape except for the paint. It's value is probably $7000 or less. Heck no you are not going to work on my truck and probably mess up/cause more issues replacing perfectly a good wiring harness. Took the truck to mechanic neighbor. Problem: drivers front wheel bearing going out and the ABS sensor on the wheel has gone bad. I knew better than to trust Toyota of Lancaster but I thought, if anyone should know how to diagnose and fix issues causing the ABS and Airbag lights to stay on it would be a Toyota dealership. This is why I purchased my Tacoma and Corolla, new at Bill Wright Toyota. More
