"Difficult to Do Business With This Dealership "

- Roger

The service department was scheduled 2 weeks out for a simple oil change. I finally needed more than just an oil service and could get in with only a one week advance notice! Took my 2015 Tacoma in today and was told by one service advisor my truck would be ready between 3&4pm. I got a call just before 3pm saying it would be 5:30 before my truck would be ready. The service department did offer to give me a loaner overnight but since I live 35 miles away I really didn’t want to go home and have to come to town again the next day. So I’m sitting in waiting room hoping they get finished soon. I’m guessing they don’t have enough technicians or they purposely overbook the service department. I’m going to be looking for another mechanic shop in Laramie who actually wants my business.

"Minimalist service, typical deanship shortcuts"

- Justwantedtowriteareview

I recently purchased a new pickup at this dealership. It was a 2011 truck, not some junker. I was pretty disappointed overall by Toyota of Laramie. I let their fast talk and good salesmanship win out over my better judgement. The salesman went on and on about their massive inspection of used vehicles and how great of shape the truck was in. I noticed a bit of build up under one of the front differential seals and asked to check the dif level. The manager wouldn't allow me to check the level and said that I would have to schedule an appointment with his service department for them to check it. I ignored it hoping it was a minimal leak that had been building up for years. After purchasing the truck I took it to a local jiffy lube to have them check all fluids before taking it on a long road trip. Both differentials were severely low and actively leaking. The transfer case also had the completely wrong fluid in it. I had the lube tech show me the fluids to prove this and stuck my own finger in both diffs to see the low level and dirty fluid. Additionally, the truck didn't come with a spare tire or jack (supposed to be part of their massive inspection). It was over a month before they had a spare tire and jack for me. When I initially called to talk with the salesman about the missing spare tire, he told me it was sold as is and he wasn't sure he could do anything. Only after threatening to speak with the manager was I told that it should have been part of their inspection ad they would get me a new one. Just today I noticed a radiator leak and saw that my engine coolant level was severely low. These are routine fluid flushes that were made to all seem like nothing I should worry about because of their "great inspection." In the end I would not recommend this dealer. Sure, I could have done more investigation on my part at the time of purchase, but I made the mistake of listening to the salesman about the inspection that my vehicle supposedly had undergone. Any basic inspection would have identified most of these issues. In the end, if you still decide to purchase from this dealer, do your own checks on the vehicle you are looking at. The dealership undoubtably has some nice cars, and the employees are pleasant, however if these basics can't be covered, they don't deserve any kind of recommendation.

"No ability to provide oil changes without waiting a week."

- richardjr

My wife and I spend 5 months on the road with our RV trailer pulled by our 2013 Tundra. Called Toyota of Laramie for oil change but manager said they do not do drop in changes and the earliest appointment is over a week away. He also said that he turns down over 10 services a day! What kind of dealership is this with no customer service. What management turns down business? Toyota needs to fix this dealership. Richard Allison

"8/12/2012 I Just brushed past this place of ignorance..."

- PastorB

8/12/2012 I Just brushed past this place of ignorance as I wipe my sweating forehead of thanks from many reviews of Kens Toyota, Larmie, Wyoming. I am from Ft. Collins and made a choice to come back to the town which I worked for many years at the University and It refreshed many bad memories but, I figured being a small town prices would be lower and better. I was present to look for a new car and give back to the state and town income wise. But........................... I am a older male and I would say I am very well off compared to many. But, upon doing my research on cars and entering this location and now observing reviews of this location, I can understand why Kens Toyota is Ignorant bunch of "DOLTS". (Look the word up) Upon entering, there is fake true used car sales man floating in the show room of Kens Toyota, Laramie, Wyoming. Who has a office Finance Adjuster as the first office and person to speak to you as soon as you arrive and makes the attempt to sell you a car. Thats scary in many ways. Thats not real, why are you making an attempt to talk to me in any case. You have other sales associates present to assist me I am thinking. A customer does not want to talk to you as a money person, they want to feel comfortable for they re purchase and your not welcoming in any way. Your a scary frail man. I moved on around the show room and I kinda ignored him as he was my shadow and he later wondered off a few feet, while staring at me as if I was a kid in a candy store without a parent and I was gonna make a quick attempt to steal a door handle or a car or something. He Paul(Observing his station desk Name Plate) stood hawking me down with a scary look and made me feel very unsafe.(Spooky) I then was approached by a heavy set salesman and given a card and greeted. I stated just I was looking and a I wondered outside. Well, guess who pops up outside, while I was observing a white Rav4? The same individual who greeted me. Why? So, I stated, please give me a few to just observe and If I am interested I will come back in and talk to BILL and I displayed his card by lifting it up face height. Well, I am now, angered by him by this following statement: "Used cars are across the street and those my not fit your budget either." And, he walked away from me quickly. I stated, excuse me sir, excuse me and he just walked away from me, briefly looking back at me with a scary sneer. All Customers, please read all reviews as this is not a healthy location for sales and nor a strong support for Toyota in anyway. As, I read reviews, I am not in shock as I read the Doctor/Prof. wrote and many others. And, after reading reviews Paul is the scary shadow of Kens Toyota of Laramie, Wyoming. I am a retired Vietnam Male with many apartment complexes and businesses within Ft. Collins, Co. and I stress to all please dont support people like this as they are very scary and can create alot of mental and physical dismay. I will never be back. I then went back to Ft. Collins and Bought two vehicles for myself and My son. I am happy now and no longer shadowed by Paul the scary mean man.
