An old-fashioned gal expecting to be treated with respect, courtesy and professionalism, hard to find in this day and age. That being said I want to give a shout out to my salesman Terry, what an AWE respect, courtesy and professionalism, hard to find in this day and age. That being said I want to give a shout out to my salesman Terry, what an AWESOME young man. A man of his word with a very calm demeanor. I knew with our first conversation that this transaction was going to go smoothly and it did. He asked all the right questions and clearly understood how to get the deal done. His follow-through is flawless from beginning to end. If you are looking for an HONEST salesman who listens to what your asking I highly recommend Terry (Terrence). More
This place was a unique circle of xxxx, even for a car dealership. The atmospher is competetive and reminisicent of a frat house. When I walked in "Soulja Boy" was streaming so loudly I could barely think dealership. The atmospher is competetive and reminisicent of a frat house. When I walked in "Soulja Boy" was streaming so loudly I could barely think, and two associates in the far back were doing the dance at their desks. I walked in knowing which vehicle I wanted and what I wanted to pay, and I had secured third party financing through my credit union. After negotiations and a test drive, (they tried adding on nearly $6,000 of additional dealership fees), we agreed on a price and I came back the next day with a check for the full amount (roughly 16k). The contact information I was given for the "Sales Manager", Ash, was a business card with two phone numbers that were disconnected. The entire time I was talked down to and dismissed. I don't know if it's because I wasn't spending enough money, or if because I wasn't interested in buying any dealer add-ons, but didn't feel like a valued customer who just gave them $16k. The also refused to work with me while at home, insisting I had to come to the dealership, even though the Covid 19 pandemic still is happening, and their own website states that they do this. Finally, the very last piece of paperwork that I needed to submit to my credit union, they would not give to me untul the very end of our transaction which was frustrating and felt like a ploy to get me to utake dealer financing. To make matters worse, when I took delivery of the vehicle, I discovered the dealership left the insurance card, the state's registration, and other documents from the previous owner in the vehicle- making me question their data practice and comittment to data privacy. It went well, your staff is friendly, Paul took care of it (Oscar remembered me, too!) & the car runs smoothly. We reviewed what was needed & not required at this time. My Prius V was ready within 30 minu it (Oscar remembered me, too!) & the car runs smoothly. We reviewed what was needed & not required at this time. My Prius V was ready within 30 minutes of the estimated time. I was able to work while I waited in one of the customer areas. Thanks to Leader Automotive for providing clean customer areas to work on our computers. That is a HUGE plus for me in the gig economy. Thanks! More
This place is truly awful!! I don't usually leave reviews but this is easily the worst car dealership I've ever encountered. The only redeeming thing was initially they were nice enough people. But my buying but this is easily the worst car dealership I've ever encountered. The only redeeming thing was initially they were nice enough people. But my buying experience was terrible and I completely regret giving them my business. My experience involved: 1) A cracked windshield prior to buying the car that they were shocked to find that took a week to fix after promising it'd take a day 2) They didn't give me my registration papers so I had to return to the dealership 3) The plug-in hybrid was missing the charger and after claiming I'd bought the car as-is, they relented and said they would get me a replacement part but it took literally 5 WEEKS to arrive. Their communication was HORRIBLE the whole time - I had to call them weekly and they almost never called me back or had any info. I finally got a used part from them they got from EBAY that's literally covered in paint. 4) They knew almost nothing about the car and could provide me very little details. This car dealership is AWFUL. Save youself the time and stress and buy somewhere else. More
Absolutely horrendous experience. Found a vehicle and had a couple of friends go test drive it for me as I am out of state. Had full intention of buying the vehicle and began exchanging info with Kostas. He a couple of friends go test drive it for me as I am out of state. Had full intention of buying the vehicle and began exchanging info with Kostas. He then stopped responding, and when I pressed, claimed he had to ‘leave the office early and would get back to me tomorrow’. When I reached out the next day, I was told the boss was selling the vehicle to his brother. This vehicle should have never been listed for sale, and that information should have been communicated before the test drive, if not after the test drive and with me over the phone. Terrible business practice, completely unprofessional and a waste of time for myself but especially my friends that spent half a day trying to help me buy a car that was not for sale. Would give negative stars if I could. More
First off, let me start this by saying that the salesman that I worked with, Zahid, was incredibly professional and helpful. Unfortunately the rest of the dealership is not as great as he is. I inquired that I worked with, Zahid, was incredibly professional and helpful. Unfortunately the rest of the dealership is not as great as he is. I inquired about a 2017 Mercedes that was listed on Cars.com. I informed the dealership that I would be driving up from Indianapolis (about a 3.5 hour drive) and would be at the dealership around 9:30 Chicago time. I was told over email that the car would be ready for me and to ask for Shane, the GM. When I arrived the car was not even at the dealership. Zahid had to drive to their other lot and I had to wait in the dealership for a half hour before being shown the car and Shane wasn't even there. Horrible service but I was willing to overlook it. After test driving the car and going over the numbers. Zahid told me that we were far apart and that my math on the payment wasn't correct. I quickly told him that they added about $3200 of extras onto the price (paint protection, other xx that may never have even been applied to the car and even if it did wasn't worth more than the stuff at Autozone) and they didn't even offer KBB for my trade. After Zahid went back to the sales desk, Eric (the General Sales Manager) came over to me to tell me if I had noticed something that was off about the car I test drove. He told me that the car I drove had 57,000 miles on it instead of the 27,000 listed on Cars.com. That's a monumental error. After I became visibly frustrated I asked him if the price would be drastically lower since the car had more than double the miles on it than originally advertised. He somehow with a straight face told me "No. Even with the mileage we are at 100% of market value." I don't know how you can say that a car you have mis-advertised can actually be valued correctly. Eric then went on to blame someone else at their company since this wasn't his mistake. And since it wasn't his mistake he didn't feel the need to fix the situation. I don't know how someone with the title of General Sales Manager could be less apathetic about a situation that is 100% the fault of Toyota of Lincoln or a customer that has been negatively impacted than him. Eric is without a doubt one of those guys who if it's not his problem then he wouldn't deal with it. I have no idea how he gets promoted from salesman to a General Sales Manager title. Of course after I left, Zahid called me with the dealership's final offer after he talked to Shane and it was only $1,000 off of the incorrectly listed car and a few grand more to my trade which they lowballed me in the first place He wouldn't even offer to pay for the gas since I took a day off of work, drove up from Indianapolis, and spent close to an hour at their dealership since the car they promised would be ready wasn't even at the correct lot. I drove back to Indianapolis and bought a different car (same make and model and better mileage than the deceitfully advertised one they had). So not only did Eric fail to correct any mistake, he also doesn't know the market. If this dealership had a car you were looking at, I would seriously reconsider. I know I will never give this dealership another second of my time. And if you are in the market for a new Toyota, then simply find another dealership. Car dealerships are a dime a dozen and Toyota of Lincolnwood isn't worth anything. More
