I went into this dealership looking for a 2011 Black Camry SE V6. The sales guy said they did not have one but asked me to test drive a gray one which was comparable. He asked me would I consider this o Camry SE V6. The sales guy said they did not have one but asked me to test drive a gray one which was comparable. He asked me would I consider this one if the price was right. The car had leather, Nav and was fully loaded. The interior and exterior color was wrong for me. By the time I made it inside the Black Camry I came looking for went out the window and they tried to ram this one down my throat. I told him I was already settling for the Camry bc of the price I don't want to settle on the color to. I asked could they just find me a black Camry SE with black cloth interior. He said they did not have one and didn't say when they would get one. When I was ready to leave a black Camry fell out of the sky. The sales manager was driving it and it was fully loaded. I told him the color was right but I didn't need all those options on the inside bc it made the price jump through the roof. After listening to Lamont run his game I finally told him if you can't meet my price then when you come back bring my keys with you. I felt like I had wasted my time and I only went there bc someone else I knew had a good experience. Anyway my wife called Scott Clark the very next day and they said it wasn't a problem locating that car and they took off running. They were more than happy to earn my business. More
Great professional service at a great price wouldn't buy a vehicle any place else they had the best process of any dealer I have ever been to In all the years ihave been buying vehicles. From start to finis a vehicle any place else they had the best process of any dealer I have ever been to In all the years ihave been buying vehicles. From start to finish every person I came in contact with was friendly had a smile on their face and just treated me like they wanted us to be part of their family More
My husband and I drove over an hour to look at a 2007 Camry that was priced at $14,995 which happened to be a really good price. We test drove the car and we were ready to go inside and talk numbers. Our Camry that was priced at $14,995 which happened to be a really good price. We test drove the car and we were ready to go inside and talk numbers. Our salesman then stated that he could not discuss numbers and we would have a sales manager help us with that. This should have been our first clue. This process took entirely too long because they filled out countless forms about me, my trade in, etc. Needless to say, the sales manager came back with an offer for our trade that was $3,000 less than what NADA stated as the trade in value for my car. I was quite insulted but I politely told the sales manager that there is no way they can get the numbers where I want when they start that low. On top of that, they were trying to get me to do 72 month payments for $417 with $2,000 down. I mean come on! If I'm paying $417 a month, I am going to be driving something nicer than a used Camry! The math just does not add up! Me being a banker knew that this figure was outrageous. I told them I was not interested in the payment, I wanted to know the price of the car and the trade in for mine. They would not budge on either and said they could not give me what my car was worth since there's was priced so low. So it's like I was being penalized because their car was a low price! So my husband and I said we want our keys and we stood to walk out. As we stood up, the man who was running the "numbers" on the computer, yelled across the sales floor to my husband "Don't get mad now!" Then he started challenging my husband about the price of our trade in. He was yelling across the sales floor the entire time. We got our keys as quickly as possible and hurried out of there. I can honestly say I have never been that disrespected at a place of business. Not only that, they took us for fools! I would never recommend this dealership. More
I found a 2005 Highlander on their website & inquired about it through email. I sent a lengthy list of questions since I live 3 hours away. When I did not receive answers to all my questions I called and about it through email. I sent a lengthy list of questions since I live 3 hours away. When I did not receive answers to all my questions I called and spoke with Jackie Crane. Jackie answered all my questions so I drove down to test drive the Highlander. I was ready to buy that day. Before test driving we looked under the hood & heard a humming sound. When we pointed out the sound to the sales person, Jason, he said we should just test drive first. We asked if the mechanic could look at it and if not, we would not be test driving the vehicle. Jackie Crane came outside and listened to the engine & said he didn't hear any problems. We said that we did and asked again if a mechanic could look at it. Jackie drove the car to the back while we followed on foot to ensure that the mechanic did in fact look at it. The mechanic listened to the car for 5 seconds before stating that a belt needed to be replaced or tightened. Jackie stated to the mechanic "it does not need to be replaced, just tighten it." We proceeded to stand there even after Jackie asked us to go inside and wait. Jackie was very rude to us and blamed us for not trusting him since we watched the car being worked on. I'm not going to trust a tight wand that won't spend $50-$100 to earn my business. After test driving we were ready to buy until we noticed a hole in the windshield. We pointed it out to the dealership and asked if they could replace it or take money off the price and they said no. They expected us to buy a car at full asking price with a whole in the windshield, ridiculous! We walked away and we're happy we did not buy from them. The employees are rude, greedy, and liars. This was the worse dealership I've ever been to. I would not recommend this dealership to my worse enemy! More
I called Sean (Internet Sales Manager) and asked him about Toyota Highander 2010 with Internet Price of $23977. I gave him my budget with trade-in option. He called me back and told me that the Highland about Toyota Highander 2010 with Internet Price of $23977. I gave him my budget with trade-in option. He called me back and told me that the Highlander I am interested is still available and we are almost very close on the deal and we really wanted to take a look at my trade-in vehicle. I drove more than an hour to the dealership and all the crap started there as the vehicle I saw on the internet was not there. Lamont (Sales Manager) told me that 2010 Highlander with Internet Price tag $23977 was sold yesterday. I was upset with the dealership. Later on they showed me another 2010 Highlander with price tag of $24900. They did many stupid thing in the end, when I don't want to change my budget. My budget was 340 for 75 months. Lamont told me many time that we are very close on the deal. How close? No answer....very close. Later he told me that we are nickle and dime away on the deal, if I put $1000/- down. I told him no. Later on a joker from finance department came and told me that we have came to the payment close enough. How much.......$475 for 75 month, which comes to $35625. I asked that joker how come a $25000 worth $35625, he start telling all the bullshit accounting stories with we have this option and this and big stupid stories. I told them you people are cheater and liar. You wasted my time. They run to the Parking lot and brought 2008 Highlander with 44000 miles on it and told me that I can drive in this car back home if I wanted. Long story short, TOYOTA OF NORTH CHARLOTTE is big CHEATER and LIAR. More
Discussed a price, with trade in, with Brian and Jason. I got to the dealership and the price was 7k more. The "product Specialist" I dealt with had no idea what I had discussed earlier with Brian and Jason. got to the dealership and the price was 7k more. The "product Specialist" I dealt with had no idea what I had discussed earlier with Brian and Jason. It was like I walked in cold off the street. They offered me 2k less than other dealerships on my trade and would not budge on the price of their used car. One person told me they couldn't get enough of these vehicles and they sell very quickly and the other said this one was about to go to auction and they had marked it down as far as they could. Which ones were lying? My bet would be all of them!!I will not do business with people like that and I recommend you don't either. More
I was shopping for Toyota Corolla Sport model. Mariata Toyota (in Atlanta, GA) gave me a quote for $14809 out the door. I asked this dealer if he would price match. Mike asked us to stop by and give him a Toyota (in Atlanta, GA) gave me a quote for $14809 out the door. I asked this dealer if he would price match. Mike asked us to stop by and give him a chance. So we did. After two hours at the dealership, they refused to match the price. They quoted around $15,500 + tax + doc + title. That equates to $16,700. That is $1,900 more. On 8/21/10, I bought my Corolla S model from Mariatta Toyota for $14809 on road. If any of you need a good price, you may save thousands of dolloars, if you check out Marriatta Toyota. One more point. During my test drive, lights for ABS, Break and VSC came on all of a sudden on the highway. The sales rep who was on the car had no clue. This dealer gives ads on TV much like KIA does. Their ad is $11988 for Corolla. Don't believe thier TV ads. More
I recently made an appointment with the service department for a four wheel alignment because of an unusual wear pattern on my tires. I also had a slow leak in the passenger front tire (about 2 pou department for a four wheel alignment because of an unusual wear pattern on my tires. I also had a slow leak in the passenger front tire (about 2 pounds a week). It takes me an hour and fifteen minutes to drive to the dealership. I drive the distance because there service department has treated me well until this problem and I bought a truck there as well. Upon arrival I was greeted by Shawn (service writter) and told him my two reasons for my visit. He wrote up the service order after I explained the reason for my appointment and told him about the leak in the front tire. I signed the work order assuming the alignment and tire repair was written on the order. Yes, I should have read it but I just finished telling what I needed. After about an hour another service writter comes to tell me my car is all finished. I paid my bill and returned home. Two days later I decided to put the receipt in the car with all my service records and noticed that nothing was on the receipt about fixing the tire. They did not charge me for a tire leak repair because they never did it. Shawn had not written the tire repair information on the repair order at all. It would seem that he was not capable of remembering this item just two minutes after I told him about it. Remember I live an hour and fifteen minute away. Not thrilled about driving the distance again. After writing my complaint on DealerRater.com, I was notified by the service manager. He apoligized for the mistake and offered to pay for the tire repair at a location of my choice closer to my home. I got the repair done, sent a copy of the receipt to the service manager and two days later received a check for the cost of the tire repair. It was refreshing to see a business step up and do the right thing. Anybody can make a mistake, how a company handles their mistake determines if I continue to do business with them or not. I will continue to do business with Toyota of N.Charlotte. More
Well I went to the home of “Mr. Unbelievable”, Toyota of North Charlotte. They did have those “Unbelievable deals” but not the exact opposite of what they advertised. HIGH! I spoke with two salesmen ( I fir North Charlotte. They did have those “Unbelievable deals” but not the exact opposite of what they advertised. HIGH! I spoke with two salesmen ( I fired/dismissed the first one) and Mr. Klutz the Sales Manager. When I arrived I was jumped like a beagle after a rabbit. No problem, because I was in the market for a car. I will admit that I’m never in a trusting mood with car salesmen (especially after my experience a couple days earlier at Scott Clark) and I informed the salesmen of such from the get go. He didn’t listen. His response to my first question was a lie. I sent him packing. He thought I was kidding at first, but he found out very quickly that I wasn’t lying and my tolerance for lying car salesmen was at 0%! A few minutes later Burrgis Baily greeted me. I told him up front how I felt about car salesmen and he listened. He was great. I quickly learned that Mr. Baily was an ole country boy and had worked hard most of his life on a farm, my kind of people. I would have like to have bought my new Corolla from him but their Sales Manager, Mr. Klutz, goofed that up. At this dealership, the salesmen do not give you the price, the Klutz does! I asked him for bottom dollar out the door and informed him that I had no intentions of bickering, etc. He asked me the prices that I had been quoted from other dealerships. I feel my response to that question was fair; their prices should be irrelevant to what your bottom dollar out the door would be. I could tell by his facial expressions that he didn’t like that answer. When he returned, I got that “unbelievable price” unbelievably high! The previous dealer that I just visited had his offer beat, bad!!!! I returned the price sheet to Mr. Klutz, thanked him for his time, and told him that he I can easily beat that price. He didn’t like that response either, but sometimes the truth hurts. If you buy a car from Toyota of North Charlotte, deal with Burgiss Baily. He will be honest, upfront and patient. Mr. Baily also devotes a lot of his time to helping youth through his ministry. More
I did most of my research online so that I could spend as little time as possible in a dealership. I was already financed and had decided to buy a Toyota Tacoma because of it's reviews and Toyota of Lake Nor little time as possible in a dealership. I was already financed and had decided to buy a Toyota Tacoma because of it's reviews and Toyota of Lake Norman North Charlotte had an internet price of $14,977 listed for a manual. Also with their recent problems I thought they would be really focused on getting customers in the door. When my husband and I reached the dealership, we met the internet person I'd been corresponding with who was very nice, (Lizz Lunn) she arranged a test drive with Travis which went well. When we sat down with the "sales manager" Wilford? the $14,977 internet price turned into $18,977 for the same truck. Even though I told him I had financing so this was like a cash sale for him, he offered me financing 6% points higher than what I had. He had my financing paperwork I showed him because he said he could probably beat it. He went back in the office and stayed another 30 minutes so we walked out. We'd been in the dealership for more than 1 1/2 hours at that point. I got a call later in the week asking "would we be able to put you into the truck at the internet price?". I told them I probably wouldn't buy from them but would think about it. After a few more calls and emails, I sent her a message that I didn't want to do business with them. I liked her, but the sales manager left a bad taste in my mouth. I went on vacation a week and the week after bought a new 2010 Nissan Frontier with most of the work done online and just a test drive and final paperwork done at the dealership. More
