He cheated my mother My mother, a gentle 77 years old retired nurse and school teacher went to Toyota of Orlando to buy a car with me and her autistic son. She was pre-app My mother, a gentle 77 years old retired nurse and school teacher went to Toyota of Orlando to buy a car with me and her autistic son. She was pre-approved from her bank with low interest rate. I helped her to get the approval from the bank. The bank said to go down and pick out the car you want. My mother picks out a silver Toyota Camry that was Pre-Owned $15,995. She came back in with her pre-approval packet from the bank. The product specialist who was very nice sat us down to meet a sales person named Paul. This is where everything went down hill. We gave him the paperwork from the bank, but he disregards and hands us credit an authorization form. My mother and I told him that we are already was preapproved from our bank. He said, “A preapproval doesn’t really mean anything. All it is stating is that you can get a car. We still have to check your credit and make sure you are credit worthy to obtain the car.” My mother at first said, “no, she’s not going to sign anything because she is preapproved.” He says, “OK” he writes on the preapproval number on a small sheet paper, but still does not pick up the packet. He leaves and doesn’t come back for about 45 minutes. Then he takes all the income verification that we came with, told us he still working out the details and we might have another bank that can give us a better rate, and went back into the financing office. My mother and I were confused because were already preapproved through our bank. When Paul came back, he told us that we were approved through Santander USA Bank. We said we were already approved through our bank already. He said “no, not at that interest-rate and not for that car you picked out. You need a car different and brand car, because we can use the rebates to bring down the price of the car. It is the only way the bank or banks will take you on.” I told him that doesn’t make any sense. Why would a bank approve us and then deny us when we are at the dealership. He said, “Unfortunately banks do that a lot. That is why we are here to help you guys out; we will make sure you get a car. We work for so many banks that we can get most people approved.” My mother told me to go pick up her younger brother. When I left my mother, she told me that the salesperson told her to sign the credit authorization form so they can move onto the financing part of the loan. Thus, my mother did so not understanding the ramifications. When I was gone they moved her into the financing room. The salesperson and a finance person told her that this is the only bank that’s going to approve her for the loan, and there will be no other bank that will get her into a car. Reluctantly, confused, and under pressure from them she signed all the paperwork. When I walked back into the dealership with her brother she said, “all the paperwork is already signed.” I was shocked and dismayed that she already finished. Secondly, instead of the car she wanted, the silver Toyota Camry, they put her in a black base model Toyota Corolla for $5000 more, making the financing loan to $20,100. Her payment from originally $309 a month at a much lower interest rate went up to $435 a month at much higher interest rate. This is terrible for a person on a limited income with the autistic son. The sad thing is that her autistic son was with her buying the vehicle and they still cheated her just for sale. Frustrated we came home with the car. Around 6:30 PM my mother was upset and decided to change her mind. She came back to the dealership and want to give back the car. She said I can’t afford this and this is not the car I wanted. The sales person said, “The sale is final, thank you for your business, and have a great day.” Paul the sales person said 3 times to my mother. My mother wanted to speak to the general manager and he said he was busy and can’t talk to you right now. Then we said we will wait and we waited about an hour. Then we asked for the general manager again. He said GM already left for the day. We then gave up. 9am in the morning the next day my mother’s bank called her. The banker asked her why she has not picked up the car yet. She said she already did but you guys did not approve her, and this is what the dealer told her. The Dealer got her approved by another bank. The bank person on the phone was very confused and upset because she told my mother that she was very much approved. 100% approved! The banker asked my mother to drive back to the dealership and ask them to change the loan back to their preapproval one. We went back, however; we lost that battle horribly. The supervisor of finance told us that we already signed the loan and it’s final! If we did not want that loan we should have never sign that paperwork. It’s nothing to be done here, thank you for your business and have a great day! My mother was crying asking to speak to a manager. He said that the manager is busy and there’s nothing he can do anyways, the sale is final. He opened up the paperwork to show us that all sales once you sign it is final in the state of Florida. Now my mother is stuck with the loan and with a car she doesn’t want. More

Service Visit Turned Into A Buying Experience Visited Toyota of Orlando for an oil change and tire rotation on my 2013 Tacoma. My wife and I decided to kill some time and look at the 2016 new mod Visited Toyota of Orlando for an oil change and tire rotation on my 2013 Tacoma. My wife and I decided to kill some time and look at the 2016 new model year Tacoma. To make a long story short, we left with a gorgeous new 2016 Tacoma, with a much lower payment and a truck that gets about 4 mpg better. Put about $100/mo back in our pocket. We started out with Chito on our test drive, worked our deal with John Cruz and Kyle, then finished up financing with Dessiree Figueroa. Everyone on the Toyota of Orlando team was professional, yet friendly. This is our third Toyota from the dealership and we will return again. More
