Sam was extremely friendly and efficient. He made sure my husband and I were well taken care of throughout the car buying process. To be fair, we all have an image in our head of how used car salesmen are all just friendly liars. I went in to take a look around and see what my next car would be. After test-driving one, I was obviously car salesmen are all just friendly liars. I went in to take a look around and see what my next car would be. After test-driving one, I was obviously not up for it, but Sam, along with (she who seemed to be) his assistant, Megan Montgomery, both didn't let me leave for a good 3 hours, just trying to sell me a car that I wasn't fond of. They pulled a bunch of tricks out of their hat; the regular "let me ask my manager if we can do that price" was expected, but they also didn't quite back down. I said if anything, I'd have to think about it, and they kept trying to get me to purchase at $18k. They even played a "courtesy recording" of someone who "just called" to ask about the car, implying that if I were to walk out, the car would be sold by the end of the day. Knowing this was a game that I wasn't too keen on playing, I walked. A few days later, I checked out their website. The exact same car that I was looking at was going for $13k. This was obvious proof that Sam and Megan were trying to rip me off of $5000. I'd glad to say, they did not end up selling the car, and it's still up for sale at a different dealership that they did a vehicle swap with. Had I not known much about cars, dealerships, auctions and inventory swaps, I probably would have been ripped off by Sam. I don't think he does that to EVERY customer, but do your shopping before you buy from him. More

Sam and Megan were fantastic and thorough. I have given this dealership and these individuals high ratings because of the quality customer service that was extended to me. As I sat there I had an opportunity to observe and listen to other salespersons and their interactions with customers. Each salesperson interacted professionally with the respective customers. I had been treated VERY rudely and turned down by other dealerships, well let's face it, I have poor credit. But Derrell Pinnock talked very kind on the phone and so I decided to give Toyota of Richardson dealerships, well let's face it, I have poor credit. But Derrell Pinnock talked very kind on the phone and so I decided to give Toyota of Richardson a try since I REALLY wanted a Toyota FJ Cruiser! I got to the dealership and Derrell was with other customers (understansable), so he asked Favian Munoz to assist me. We looked at vehicle, test drove it, filled out the paperwork and then the fun began. I was a HUGE challenge - not only was my credit poor, but I had an out-of-state co-signer, I wanted low monthly payments, little to no money down, a great warranty - you know the girl that wanted it all - for nothing! LOL - But as a few days went by I was starting to think that it was going to end just like all the other dealerships. I'd call, ask if there was any word and get told that finance, Ray Reyes, was working on it, but to be patient as he really felt he could get the deal done. Now a week later I'm really thinking they are just stringing me along, so I call and honestly, was not all that nice to these kind salesmen, and told them that they had until noon the next day to decide as I didn't want to wait any longer. That cutoff time came and went and still nothing from them or the finanace guy. I was getting frustrated when all of a sudden I receive a call, 10 days after my first visit, telling me to come in and sign the papers, that they got the deal to go through! To top it all off it was NOT with a sub-prime lending company it was through Toyota Motor Credit! TOYOTA of RICHARDSON - Derrell Pinnock and Favian Munoz are AWESOME!
