Unbelievably shady experience. Changed the price on the car more than five times AFTER the initial paperwork was signed, had dealer payoff on trade incorrect from what actual paperwork stated, charged tax car more than five times AFTER the initial paperwork was signed, had dealer payoff on trade incorrect from what actual paperwork stated, charged tax on full price of the car rather than the LEGAL amount- price minus trade, continually said they were giving me something extra when was actually included in Toyota Care package. He put me at ease and I did not feel pressured while shopping. He was very friendly and energetic, and did not seem put off that I was not buying right away. I would like to to say that if all employees are like him, then Toyota of Richarson is doing a fabulous job! More
Harvey was excellent when is came to his job. He explained everything about the car, the payment options, and even went into detail about every part of the car. We got into a 2013 Toyota Corolla S t explained everything about the car, the payment options, and even went into detail about every part of the car. We got into a 2013 Toyota Corolla S that same day. I will definitely recommend Harvey and Toyota of Richardson to all my friends!!!! More
I went to test drive a 2012 prius trim 4 and trim 5. He had no knowledge of the differences between the two or the difference between trim 3 and trim 4. Technically quite incompetent to sell a prius. His e had no knowledge of the differences between the two or the difference between trim 3 and trim 4. Technically quite incompetent to sell a prius. His excuse was that they did not sell that many trim 4's and 5's - why am i not surprised!! He also treated me as if i was a newbie and had gone for a test drive without doing internet research. I knew more about the options and differences than him! He took me twice to their parking lot which is at a distance because he did not have the correct keys with him first time, a mistake that I would not mind if not for all the other stuff. And he plainly refused to let us test drive a trim 5 - his excuse was the battery was down. Seriously? A Toyota dealership claiming to have a trim 5 has no working car to show an interested buyer? And then his quoted price for both the trim 4 and trim 5 was the msrp, quite different from what other dealers offered on the phone even without meeting. This dealership was closest to my home. I ultimately bought a trim 5 from a dealership 20 miles away where the salesperson was competent and knowledgeable. More

I am sick and tired of service taking twice as long as promised. Here i Am Again waiting for 3 hours or more for a job promised in no more than 1-1/2 hours. They seem to forget there are lots of dealers promised. Here i Am Again waiting for 3 hours or more for a job promised in no more than 1-1/2 hours. If you have to work with Danny Tabora (finance guy), just be warned all he wants is to get you to sign the documents and get you out of his office! He will not even attempt to explain what you are signing an be warned all he wants is to get you to sign the documents and get you out of his office! He will not even attempt to explain what you are signing and when he does he purposefully speaks above your head or very fast just to get the whole interaction completed. I would never have submitted this review but I've had it! Fine, I signed the documents hoping to get a better explanation of everything but I should have taken time to read the documents myself before signing so I there lies my fault too. Nonetheless, what really annoys me is that, once I have signed the documents, I ask for a copy of my documents (which should have been given to me on day one but wasn't because as I already said, Danny was trying to get me out of his office but of course after signing on the dotted lines!) which I am yet to receive. Today marks the 10th day of begging for my documents! To me, it's not the pre-purchase treatment that matters but how you treat me after I have bought the car! If you have to go Toyota of Richardson because all the other dealerships in town have been destroyed by a bigfoot, I would advise you to ask for another finance guy! More
Wednesday, July 11, 2012 -- Stop by after work to see if they had a Scion FRS and sure enough they did. Spoke with Sam Mansfield, Scion Sales Manager. Nice guy, but not very knowledgeable about their prod they had a Scion FRS and sure enough they did. Spoke with Sam Mansfield, Scion Sales Manager. Nice guy, but not very knowledgeable about their products, especially the technology aspects of the Toyota and Scion. Strange, considering he was a manager. Sam was a very nice, laid back, no nonsense guy. Husband met me up there and test drove the Scion-FRS, which is a cool car, but very bare bones on the inside and scant on technology, compared to other cars in it's class and below. We decided to look at the Prius C and later, decided to purchase. The painstaking process took nearly four hours and our brains were fried and by the time we made it back to the finance department, the dealership was closing. After signing all the various paperwork, the upsell was in full swing. My husband told them from the beginning "No" and we continued. The finance lady asked him "What if I could give you blah, blah, blah and deduct this much out of your check every two weeks, etc and you'd save this much money and pay it off quicker, blah, blah, blah." She made it sound like she was actually giving us this crap, so my husband signs off on it. Fast forward to this morning after a night of rest and access to a calculator, he realizes that this lady basically scammed him into agreeing for everything he told her that he did not want in the first place. He called the dealership and asked for the person in charge, who never bothered to call him back. I called them approximately three hours later and spoke to Jeff, the Sales Manager. He called my husband and said that we could come back in and go through all the contract crap again, which we were not willing to do. After we didn't show up to pick up the Prius C, he called and my husband told him that we'd take our business elsewhere and he said, "Alright." Having a customer service background, this is no way to treat a customer. Most businesses/dealerships would do whatever it took to make things right for their customers and gain their trust. NOT Toyota of Richardson! Our sales person, Sam Mansfield, didn't even bother picking up the phone to call either. Apparently this dealership doesn't need anymore business and if they treat a new customer this way, I can't help but wonder how they'd treat you once they had your money? More
