I took my older but beautifully running Toyota Camry in for 2 routine services - an oil change and a recharge of the coolant. I left with a car that made it one mile before making a noise like a squeali for 2 routine services - an oil change and a recharge of the coolant. I left with a car that made it one mile before making a noise like a squealing pig, as well as lurching forward. They saw an older woman with an older model car and they thought $$$ - as they then diagnosed the problem as the 'harmonic balancer' needs replacing. Harmonic balancers are supposed to last the life of the car, plus my car only has 156,000 miles on it. They killed my car, and I have friends and family as witnesses to the condition the car was in when it was taken in to be serviced. My car no longer runs and is not driveable. They also broke the perfectly working driver side door handle and they thought I should be thankful that they didn't charge me to replace it! I highly suggest you think long and hard before taking your car to Toyota of Ridgecrest and consider going to another location for servicing of your vehicle, either another mechanic, or even out of town to Lancaster or Palmdale. More
